Fabulous, large four seasons cottage situated only 2 hours from Toronto on prestigious Catchacoma Lake with waterfront views.

A very scenic well treed lot in a high demand upscale area. Excellent swimming, fishing and boating on one of the 7 lakes chain. Consists of two levels( upper &lower). Beautiful wrap around deck that encompasses an octagonal screened in oasis for those beautiful summer & fall evenings.

Enjoy your family dinner with panoramic views from the dinning room.

Tired location, swimming not good.
Was advertised (directly from owner) to be great swimming. Water was shallow with end of dock about 4 ft. Beach was taken up with unusable paddle boat. Dock was littered with dried/fresh goose poop. No ladder off end of dock. Weeds have encroached up to dock and beyond at end. Driveway to lake is not maintained. Grandson fell in hole, unhurt. My adult daughter fell next day with cuts and bruises to her knee, luckily did’t break anything. Cottage was getting tired looking. Outside deck need some new boards. Railing not up to Ont standards. Our dog almost jumped off area with no railing. Ran out of propane before week was up. Bathroom tub surround showed mold on caulking. They had round fans and we brought 4 tower fans as others have said no ventilation which we also found. Temps outside dropped at night, but most windows would not open. Dishwasher needs replacing. Would clean most dishes, but some came out dirty. Bottom drawer kept loosing wheels. Ceiling leaked with good rainfall (owner advised next day. He did give us small rebate). Water pond didn’t work which left it a great mosquito breading place. Water /beach was main reason we rented here. Had to drive into Bobcaygeon to their beautiful beach. Feel cottage would be great for group of guys looking for a poker place weekend.

Nice end of the summer stay
The cottage was nice and quaint for our size group of 8 people. Everyone was able to have their own comfortable bedrooms, and there was lots of space both inside and outside to hang out. The wraparound deck with the screen was nice to hang out on. Backyard was decent space as well with patio furniture. The place was tidy and well kept, and the amenities were working fine, other than the fridge we had to turn up the energy because it wasn’t getting cold. Our only complaints about the visit were that sometimes it would be a bit warm inside, and there wasn’t really a way to turn down the temperature - only option was to turn on the fans that they have in the place. And also, that the transfer station to throw out the trash has poor hours and it isn’t guaranteed to be open on your time of checkout leaving you with bags of garbage and recycling to dispose of yourself. Would much rather have paid a little extra to not worry about that, as our group scrambled to find somewhere to dispose of our waste at the end. All that said, it was still a fun time, and it would be an ideal destination for Spring and Fall visitors. Thank you Sam for having us.

Great screened in dining area but no air flow inside.
Our first impression upon arriving at the rental was oh dear, this doesnt look like the well groomed property shown in the listing. The yard was overgrown, it was not water front as the lake was across the road. We thought ok, we can overlook this, we just want some family time with our 4 generations together. Inside it was as advertised but the air flow was very poor with many fans located inside but they did not help, only pushing the stale air around. Unfortunately it was a very hot and humid day and my father has COPD and found it very difficult to breathe. We tried to open windows in the living room area since it was actually cooler outside, but we could not get them open so unfortunately we had to leave after only being there about one hour. The host was very quick to respond but denied that there were any problems. This property would be suitable for spring, fall and winter but not the hot days of summer.
