Hello Trisha - the state is doing work on the street in front of the motel but the motel is not under construction. It looks like you booked through Expedia and I don't know that they check to see where road projects are when you book. You could always call the motel directly and ask if there is any road work or nearby construction if that is a concern. Hope this helps!

Hello Trisha! The motel is not under construction. There is road work on the street that runs in front of the motel. I don't think Expedia tracks the state's road work but if that is a concern, you could call Michigan Department of Transportation and see what they are working on when you travel. Hope this helps!

Looked newly painted & was clean. Could hear someones TV at 3 am. Shower water was luke warm. Couldn’t get the water temp up. Comfy bed though.

We took a short overnight trip into TC to attend an event at the opera house. It was clean, comfortable and close to our event. The bed was very comfortable. We’ll definitely stay again when needed!

Highly recommended! completely redone, clean rooms
I was a bit hesitant about staying here because the last time I was up in Traverse this place was a bit run down, Boy were my girlfriend and I surprised!!! The Rooms were spotless and completely redone. There was even a Full size fridge in the room and they didn't skimp on the in room coffee. Everyone was friendly and helpful. We'll be back!!!

Staff were very nice and helpful. Wi-Fi worked great! The room was very clean and they had lots of options for grab and go breakfast. Full size refrigerator was a plus.

I love this place! Feels like home! Impressed from the moment I arrived - Kind & friendly staff (Bob was so sweet!), clean & lovely rooms, and the complimentary coffee set-up was amazing & exactly what I needed before a long drive! I've stayed in a couple of these renovated motels and I really like them. This place was cleaner than most of the big name hotels and the staff was extremely friendly. I was on a motorcycle trip and it was raining so one of the guys gave me a bag of towels. That's service you just don't get anywhere.

A great motel home base
It is a very nice motel, with much more reasonable pricing than most area motels. My partner woke up with a migraine the day were were expecting to check-out, and the staff rearranged some things in order for us to get the room for another night.
