The actual stay at this hotel was nice. The beds were comfortable. There were good amenities (pool, Starbucks coffee/tea in the room, free hot breakfast). The staff was the disappointing part. We were in town during the Traverse City Film Festival and all hotels were busy including this one which required us to park far from the entrance, which was understandable and not a problem. However, check-in took FOREVER as we were passed between 3 different people for a simple check-in while they socialized and talked about who would drive the shuttle bus into town. Once we finally got the check-in process going, the man at the desk informed me that he would need my license plate number while we were parked on the property. I didn't know it and asked if it was absolutely necessary since we were parked so far away and he rudely said "yeah, we have to have it", so I had to leave my party and our belongings in the lobby and walk across the dark parking lot alone to get the number. Other than that, I would definitely stay here and recommend it to friends/family .

Good day, Nicole! Thank you for your stay and review. While I'm glad you had a nice stay and enjoyed our amenities, I'm terribly sorry for the poor check-in experience. We will definitely address and improve that to make sure our team is meeting and exceeding the expectations of our guests. Thank you for bringing that to our attention. Have a nice August and we'll be glad to welcome you back.
For the love of hospitality,
Jonathan P., General Manager
