Rachel, thank you for the kind and honest review. It is truly one of the most beautiful and peaceful places that I have ever stayed The sunrise alone worth staying there. We appreciate your understanding about the stink bugs. The entire Yadkin Valley has been affected by these harmless pest for serval years. It may be due to all the wine vineyards in the valley. No one really knows. All guest coming should be aware of this seasonal occurrence. We spend thoisands of dollars with exterminators each year to minimize these critters. We hope to see you back again soon.!

Vicky is a great example of how people feel empowered to leave a bad review. She never called or notified us of a problem while she was there. Had she called, we would have gladly allowed her to leave with a full or partial refund. So here's a friendly reminder to all future guests. If you find something wrong with our cabins, simply call or text so we will be aware of the issue. IF we can't solve the problem, then feel free to leave a review like this one. Please, at least, give us the opportunity to rectify problem before leaving a unkind review. We are proud of the 98% positive reviews left here and on other sites. Just so you all know, stink bugs are in every home in the Yadkin Valley. Years ago, there was a similar problem with lady bugs The government thought it would be a good idea to import stink bugs to help control the lady bugs...WRONG! While stink bugs are a nusicence they are totally harmless. During October theu December when there critters are looking for a winter home, we pay a professional exterminator company $800.00 PER WEEK to control stink bugs. It is virtually impossible to get rid of all of them but be aware that we are doing every we can. If you are the type of person that has a fear of insects PLEASE, DO NOT RENT OUR CABINS or for that matter ANY vacation rentals in the Yadkin Valley during these months because you WILL see a few of them inside the cabins. I know this is an unusually long reply, but we felt that it was necessary to set the record straight. Thank you.

This is one of those head scratching reviews. We in the vacation rental industry call this a "pile on" review. They find one thing wrong and then pile on more to discredit a rental. This guest is mad because the electricity went out during the recent wind storm. They texted the evening before check out that the power was out and they were LEAVING! We replied that we understand but told them that quite often, power is restored within an hour or two, which was the case here. First of all, if you read our 95% positive ratings, you will not find another complaint about the pots and pans. When we switched over to an induction type stove top, two years ago, we purchased the highest grade STAINLESS STEEL cookware available.We always provide dish cloths to wash dishes. Sponges are not sanitary but I guess they didn't know that. If they had taken the time to look at the photos and description of our cabins, they would clearly see that cabin 1 and 2 are small, cozy log cabins which most of our quest love. The bed was clearly marked a FULL SIZE BED! I won't address all the other nitpicking because our reviews speak for themselves. This review process works both way. We will alert other renters of our experience. Did you notice that there was no mention of the spectacular view, sunrise, sunsets, the hot tub, the peace and quiet setting, etc. Bottom line is this quest is banned from our property FOREVER! We welcome honest reviews and would have been happy to address any issues had they had the courtesy to contact us DIRECTLY instead of trying to harm our good reputation with questionable allegations.

You and all guest arriving in late fall are made aware of these harmless critters that invade the entire Yadkin Valley BEFORE reserving one of our cabins. We have our cabins professionally treated by an exterminator twice a week to control these insects. Dispite our best effort, some manager to get inside when doors and windows are opened. We apologize for the inconveniences but we have been dealing with this issue for years when the governor imported stink bugs to control lady bugs, thereby creating another problem. Bottom line to all future guest.... don't book our cabins between late September thru early December if you have an adversion to insects.

Walk in to ANY home in the Yadkin Valley and you will see the same thing. You and all guest were advised about these harmless critters before booking. If ANYONE has a sever aversion to insects, don't book in late September thru early December. 90% of our guest understand that this is a regional problem in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Just posting this to inform future guest.
