(132 reviews) We had the most amazing stay at this property! The hotel was insanely beautiful and very well kept. The staff went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of, and accommodated every request we had. Truly have never been so impressed by a hotel. 1000% recommend staying here if you are traveling to Lake Atitlan/San Marcos. They can even help arrange private transfers for you to eliminate stress. I will definitely be back in the future, not one bad thing to say about this hotel!!! Huge thank you to the staff- you truly made this a memorable stay for us! (737 reviews) I stayed at Hotel Atitlán, and honestly, it was just gorgeous. The views of the three volcanoes were absolutely breathtaking, and the gardens felt like this magical, winding maze. My room had this antique charm, and from the balcony, we could see the whole garden—it was so peaceful. The pool was lovely, and one of the highlights was a private boat tour we arranged. We visited islands where we learned about coffee, honey, and chocolate—so fascinating. Then we went to another island for zip-lining, with an incredible view at the top. We also took a canoe out on the lake, which was really calming. The breakfast buffet was amazing—so many options, and everything tasted fresh. The staff was nice, but I didn’t feel like they were quite as attentive as at the first hotel. They were still responsive, especially through WhatsApp, but when we had an issue with the shower water turning brown after a rain, they didn’t come right away. They just told us to run the water, but didn’t really explain what was happening. My friend did shower, but by the time the staff checked, the water was already clear. Even with that hiccup, the natural beauty and unique experiences made it unforgettable, and I’d still come back just for the scenery.
