The proximity to the town of Como and other points of interest on Lago di Como were great. We had an amazing view of the lake from the balcony of our room, which was unexpected. My only complaint would be that the mattresses were past their prime.

Average experience
The location of the hotel is great - right on the lake in Torno. However, the service we got wasn’t satisfactory and the food took a long time to arrive one night. Overall I would say it was an average experience.

Super views and restaurant!
5 star views, 5 star restaurant and service. Retro Deco - If you like 70s tiling this is the place for you! We loved it. Great location to walk into Torno and get the boat for Como or north on the Lke.

LAKE COMO SCENES
Lovely family run hotel! Excellant staff polite and helpful to no ends. Very accomodating. Although tricky to get too by foot and is a bit dated by terms of decor nonetheless the scenic views are priceless and override the all negatives.

Absolutely amazing views. Good comfy little rooms, air conditioning did not do a lot, but a decent breeze from outside took care of that. Wi-fi signal does not reach the rooms though, that is the only complaint.

Brilliant location
Absolutely amazing location with the property on the lake and rooms overseeing the lake. Couldn't have asked for more. 45 minutes drive to Bellagio and 20-25 minutes to Como. Rooms could do with an upgrade but didn't mind it so much with the views.

Needs a face lift, badly.
Great view of lake Como is the best thing about this place. Otherwise, dated and so in need of a face life. Rooms smelled but opened the door to balcony to air it out. Fridge had mold in it and stank. Honestly dont think the place had been cleaned out for a while. I was only stopping 1 night and in the room for a few hours just to sleep so didnt even have the energy to complain.

Lucky stop off at Lake Como
Hotel set on hillside with beautiful panoramic views over Lake Como and the properties and hills on other side of lake - great sunbathing area (grass) on the lakeside - bit of f a track down to it but very worthwhile - did not eat at the hotel but wished we had tried it as a large number if non residents seemed to be eating in the resturant overlooking the lake.

For us we find it characteristic. It is a construction built on the rock that overlooks the lake and has parking. Certainly we must love nature. and not chaos.

Good: Hotel has great views and the restaurant for diner is top notch. We asked for 2 extra pillows and they were in the room. The desk personnel were helpful in getting us to the ferry for the lake. Our room's patio was spacious and the view from it was wonderful. Okay: The buffet breakfast was okay but not over priced. The Matress in our room was not that great and the WIFI was weak

Not a warm welcome
Upon arrival the staff were stressed and not particularly welcoming. It was as if we were being a pain by turning up. They couldn't find our booking until my daughter pointed it out in their hand written ledger. Hotel is very old fashioned but not in a quaint way, desperatley needs updating. Breakfast was good and the views are stunning. No air con, faIr enough, but not even a fan. The hotel would be nothing without the location.

There's no access to a proper beach. The rooms are cleaned every day but it's so old that nothing helps. Not very friendly receptionist. One good thing is that the hotel restaurant is very good. The food there is the best out of all the restaurants I have been in Italy.

Views from hotel are amazing but they need some upgrades to improve comfort like better lighting and air conditioning. Hotel looks like it's from 1975. They did loan a fan for the hot night. Super private grassy area right on lake is great, but you have to hike down to it. Was a bit hairy to access with our infant.

Well situated to reach Como by road or water.The ferry stop is a serious walk away but the local bus is available (2 stops) once you have climbed the uphill route back to the road.The rooms all have fabulous lake views and the breakfast and dinner seating is ideal.The restaurant is very popular with non-residents so book a window table if you intend to dine here.The rooms are not large but adequate ,there is some traffic noise at weekends. The staff were all very pleasant and helpful. Overall good value.with parking available.

Fantastic location, stunning views!
We enjoyed our time here very much. The hotel is in a fantastic location, right on the waterfront with amazing views of Lake Como from most rooms and the restaurant and bar. Only a short walk downhill to Torno to catch the battello (ferry) which is the perfect way to really enjoy Lago Di Como. Whilst the rooms are dated it adds to the charm. Genuine hospitality from the staff and extensive delicious menu in the restaurant, all which was excellent value. Seafood spaghetti with mussels, prawns and clams is a meal fit for a king! Plenty of food for kids and vegetarians too. Would definitely visit here again.

Très belle étape. Hôtel très bien, avec vue imprenable sur le lac. Juste un petit bémol avec la chaleur la Clim aurait été appréciable. Sinon rien a redire.

Personeel vriendelijk en gastvrij, ontbijt en diner perfect. Hotel heeft charme , een opwaardering van de badkamer zou wel mogen. Verder kostprijs en wat geboden wordt prima. Mooi uitzicht over Como meer. Al met al prima verblijf.
