From the moment of entry, the Mansion House disappoints. Stains on a carpet that has pealed up in the center to obstruct your luggage. Windows that won't close due to rot. Canopied beds, decayed and dropping detritus on your head as you sleep. A bath with a trickle of shower pressure, scalding hot with no cold water. No response to requests to address the water. No one to staff the front desk. The kitchen closed for dinner. Off site property manager no where to be found. A once proud grande damme with stone cheekbones rotting from within.

This is a beautiful old (historic) hotel. The room was clean and comfortable. Although the building is old, it is well maintained. Very classic. They had an art exhibit in the lobby - really wonderful. I loved it! I would come back.

Great and close to shopping and restaurants

The room and view were nice, but we almost wished we had stayed at the back of the hotel because the noise of people on the street all night woke us a few times. The bed was not the most comfortable and there was chipping paint. The location was amazing for walking around town. I just expected a little higher quality for the price.
