You are free to be completely independent (you don't really need to interact with anyone in order for things to get done - which is saying a lot considering some of the hotels in Japan) Extremely Quiet. Everyone is respectful of the rules of sound. The pods aren't anything to write home about but were still satisfactory. While most the people here are just there to study or do work things, every now and then you will bump into a foreigner who is absolutely down to socialize and go out for a night of drinking. I met one of the coolest people here while hanging out in the lounge area/bumping into them in the elevator. Overall it's pretty great. The only real major down side is the shut down period between 11:00-15:00\. A train passes by right outside so you can hear it until it stops around midnight/restarts around 4am but I found it soothing. Nothing in the area other than Tokyo Dome though, and the Suidobashi station (closest station) started each of my days with an upwards stair climb. Good amenities and clean. While yes, you can hear everything that goes on around you, including alarms, snoring, and the train, they have free earplugs. The bedding is about the same hardness as a futon on a tatami. The only complaint is the stiffness of the pillow. Otherwise, the lockers are big enough for one backpack and one carryon. Be aware that you will not be able to access your pod or locker between 10AM-2PM due to cleaning. I had a great 1 night stay with special thanks to Issam(?) who spoke very good English and enjoyed a friendly conversation during his night shift. The cabins can be full at times but no issue with maintaining peace and quiet in lockers and sleeping area. The loung area looks very nice but keep in mind it is not tinted so at night people outside can see you like fishes in an aquarium. Not really an issue. There is a coffee shop at the ground floor. I reduce 1 star from perfection just because they don't have a drinking water fountain or much amenities inside. Also one of the men's toilets was unusable out of 3 available but didn't see much issue of having to wait. I look forward to coming back someday. I recommend here if you're trying to stick to a budget and traveling solo or with a few friends. I Hated My Stay here's why: 1st- There's No Airflow, so its Hot. Looks like there is a vent and Plenty of area and availability to install a fan system but no. So it's Hot. 2nd- The pods are NOT Sound Proof about as sound proof as a Marble Shower. If the person 9 pods away so much as Yawns you here it! 3rd- They allow check in at Any time of time so there is always someone walking around making noise. Was people checking in at 12:30am! 4th- You have to live out of a tiny locker. There is No area to open you luggage, other than the small space between the lockers were there are 16 on each side, and more than 2 people at a time is crappled at best. 5th- Staff was rude. They close down the pods and lockers to clean for about 4 hours so make sure you have EVERYTHING You need for the day. Lady was rude when i went to locker because I needed my International Drivers License. 6th- They video and Audio record you while you are sleeping, kinda werid, but you CAN NOT OPT OUT. 7th- For around the same price you can find a hotel with a Real Bed, Self Controlled Heating and Air and a Great Bathtub or Public Bath area. 8th- The Mattresses are Thin, Like....Real Thin. My dogs beds are thicker than these and they have sleep sensors that you can feel. 9th- They kick you out of the pods, want to sleep in Tough, Don't feel well Tough. This hotel was more modern than others and new. The capsule is spacious and has both a power plug spot and a USB port. It does not have a TV or an AC vent, it was still comfortable as the room has A/C. Bed was comfy, there are also bathrooms on the same floor which is nice. Men have lockers and showers on 4th floor, more toilets as well. The showers need repair, all but 1 were pouring water like a faucet out of the rainfall shower head, luckily there is a hand held attachment so no real issue. The one that worked is the only one that had a clog so it would back up if you used it. They provide body soap, shampoo and conditioner in the showers, hair dryers and tissue/paper towels and hand soap at the sinks. They do not offer moisturizer or q-tips etc like all other hotels. You do get a toothbrush and pajamas (they will change both daily). The rule to leave from 10-2 is real, no idea why it takes that long for all the floors, they are actively cleaning the entire time and you have to leave. They sell some drinks at the front desk and have a coffee shop in house but a Family Mart is across the street. The lounge on 6th floor has tables and outlets but no washroom or sinks, no microwave to heat up food either.
