The room was quite nice, albeit a bit small. One main issue I had was that I could often hear other guests clearly through the hallway. However this is situational so it didn't bother me too much. Regarding the breakfast, you really do only get what you pay for. The breakfast is handled by a nearby cafe with a very limited menu. No option for soft drinks such as juice or even water, only coffee or tea. I ended up skipping most of the breakfasts there due to this. Great for a budget stay. Close to a station. Relatively quiet area (for Tokyo). Overall, for a student stay, 4/5

As others noted, the room is small by Western standards but makes up for it with space-conscious design. The amenities cover almost everything you might need during your stay (brush, razor, cotton pads & swabs, hair ties, body towels, body wash, shampoo & conditioner, robes, slippers, shower caps, coffee & tea, hair dryer, hot water kettle, cups). The facility is conveniently located near the train and was well-maintained. The staff were helpful and friendly. I would absolutely recommend this hotel for any single travelers or duos that don't mind close proximity. I will be staying again when I return to Tokyo.

Location is great - in front of the Asakusa line. If you time your travel correctly, you cab get a direct train to Narita airport. Small rooms but if you’re out all day it should do. The hourly rate for checking in before 15:00 seems odd - we finished the check-in process at 14:40 yet we were still charged 1,000 yen hourly rate. Staff gave us the impression they are not very welcoming and friendly. The entire check-in experience is terrible.

For anyone coming to Tokyo from Narita. I highly recommend this hotel. Not only convenient but inexpensive. Also you can get a direct train using the Keisei Narita Skyaccess train from Terminal 1 Station bound for Haneda. But many options to get to this hotel. All APA Hotel in general has been great but this one is just in a perfect location for to and from Narita Airport for someone wanting a nice quiet and peaceful part of Tokyo. Plus you are close Sensoji Temple

Super easy check-in and check-out, it's completely self-service but they have someone at the desk if you need help. I would highly recommend staying at any of the many APAs around the city and there are many. The rooms are small but they have everything you need, especially for single travelers or two. The price point is awesome for what you get, we stayed a week and it cost half the price of the places we stayed at for three days. I enjoyed my stay and will definitely be booking one for my next Trip. They had a washer and dryer which was super helpful after traveling for two weeks. The APA we stayed at, was super close to the subway station and within walking distance of a night market and the Sky Tree.

APA Asakusa Kuramae Ekimae was great! We stayed here for about a week and during the entire stay, the staff, room, and overall hotel was amazing. From the check-in process, questions throughout the week, and check-out process the staff were always friendly. The room was as shown in the pictures and the rooms were equipped with the amenities to communicate for room cleaning, room extension options, wifi, etc. (in multiple languages). The location of the hotel is also great, it's less than a minutes walk from a station.

The location was in a weird spot. Kind of close to a lot of things, if you were okay with walking 20 minutes in the blistering heat. Or have to take at minimum two trains to get wherever you need to go.

The room was clean but the train stations for the location is not as convenient as others. Also staff was not proactive with customer service. We came in early so we waited at the lobby. After a while, we noticed that the staff were already checking in new customers that just came in. I approached the staff and asked her how come she checked in the new guests and she said it was already time to check in. I told her how come she did not tell us when she knows we were waiting to be checked in and she did not say anything. As guests we knew what the check in time was so it was okay to wait but the least they can do is to inform us when they are ready to do so.

Great stay. No onsen.
Stay was as expected of an APA. Clean rooms. Nice amenities. Friendly staff members. It’s right across the street from the Kuramae subway entrance and about a 10 min walk in either direction for the JR stations. Rooms are small by Western standards but it’s expected of a business hotel in Japan. This APA does not have an onsen like some of the other properties which is the only thing I disliked about it. Overall, great stay. Would recommend.

The property is right next to Kuramae so its super easier to get around. The staff is wonderful. Konbinis(7/11, Family Mart, ministop and etc…) are really close by. It was a great stay and I do recommend

Hotel was clean. The room was literally a bed, walkway, desk and chair. It was hot in the room because the ac was not on or they wouldn’t let you control the temperature. But it was a nice room. The only 2 negatives—it literally was compact and there were three other hotels that look the same on the outside so it was confusing to find the hotel especially if you are still working how the subways work. Other than that it was close to the station so it was conveniently located!

The property is extremely compact to the extent that 2 carry on size bags will be a congested fit in a double room. The heating/ cooling cannot be adjusted which makes it quite stuffy. The APA hotels are many, check the entire name to ensure you will be at the right location. The beds are comfortable and all other amenities like a hot water kettle, fridge, toiletries are provided. We were out sightseeing the whole day and did not spend much time in the room itself. It worked out fine for us.
