Beautiful hotel right in the city center

Beautiful boutique hotel. Rooms couod have been a bit cleaner. Breakfast was very good. Area was amazing especially the Basilica of Our Lady of Ocatlan

There’s no AC. The toilet seat was old beat up. House keeping was terrible and took forever to clean the room! There’s no elevator and if you stay on the second floor good luck when you have to check out since bellhop doesn’t help at all!!

Beautiful Hotel Stunning Lobby. Located across from the main city park. Hotel pool is gorgeous. Hotel also has tennis court. Extremely walkable to many city sites.

Lovely

Lovely remodeled old building in the center of town is safe and comfortable. Feels like a vacation just arriving there in the grand atrium. Rooms are large and tidy. Service is very nice. Pool wasn’t clean but it was too chilly to use anyway. It’s cold in the morning so breakfast, which is semi-al fresco involves coats but it’s a great spread with friendly service. WiFi was good in public areas but a little weak in the room- still ok though.

The hotel is the best in town, breakfast included was good (concerned that some things, like butter and jams, were left out in the heat during the day). Knowing they are the best has made management comfortable and have yet to update services such as add AC/heaters to rooms - the weather during our stay was in the 90s with no AC and at the very end we were offered a fan; and give maintenance to rooms and grounds, such as to doors - several doors need repair as they don't close properly and you can see the inside from the outside. We arrived on a Friday (Mother's Day in Mexico) and were told that the hotel's restaurant was open - at first we were not going to be seated because we needed a reservation because of the special day... but we were hotel guests! We never got into the pool during this trip - it was dirty. But yes, we would go back (because it is the best in town); hopefully at our next trip the hotel will show some improvements to be considered the 3 stars it is rated (I would not mark is as "Wonderful" with 9/10, but simply good).

Downward spiral.

I’m so disheartened by Posada San Francisco’s supposed “renovation”. For more than 20 years, I have traveled to Tlaxcala for business with the hotel as my home away from home. Its serious wear and tear was offset by the charm of the equipales and dear staff. Being the only higher end destination in a flourishing city that has an extraordinary cultural draw, they had an opportunity to polish it off and expand its base. Instead, every detail—-from art to sinks to tasteless furnishings throughout—-was a disaster. Icing on the cake? A portable heater was brought into the room because the hotel system was so old they couldn’t find parts. The staff wasn’t representative of what the hospitality industry is working so hard to achieve in these booming travel economy. Perhaps the upstairs restaurant is a saving grace, but we didn’t have a chance to visit. I can only hope they read this review and tune the details that they missed during the full year shutdown during COVID. Perhaps hire a designer to highlight the architectural glory of what was once a lovely Tlaxcala retreat?

El hotel es precioso, Tomamos masaje en el Spa y estuvo excelente. La comida del restaurante es buenísima. El servicio del mejor nivel. Pero, El baño tiene muchas cosas que deben mejorarse, El baño es pequeñito y tiene 3 coladeras levantadas, y uno se tropieza, de cada coladera salen bichos . La tabla del WC es viejísima y solo la pintaron, lo que la hace tener un olor penetrante. El área de la alberca es bellísima tambien.

las recepcionistas mal encaradas, con poca disposición para ayudar, hasta que pedí hablar con el gerente fué que atendieron mis peticiones y de mala gana ( ya que me habían dado una habitacion donde no había señal de WiFi y la puerta que da hacia la piscina se abría sola) la piscina está fuera de servicio , la mesa de billar sin el equipo necesario para utilizarlo, el WiFi no disponible en todas las habitaciones.El hotel es muy ruidoso, tienen música ambiental en el area de la piscina misma que se cuela en las habitaciones desde muy temprano mucho ruido de gente en los pasillos arrastrando maletas y ruido de una maquina expendedora de golosinas. La cama extra dura, las almohadas duras y boludas ( se nota que no las han cambiado en años )amanecimos con dolor de cuello y espalda.Puntos a favor: su ubicación, comida del buffet de regular calidad. Tiene una cafetería que se llama Society , donde me querían cobrar 107 pesos por un frappé moka al preguntar costos le bajaron a $81 ,mismo que no supieron preparar y sólo le pusieron hielos , la base en polvo y leche de soya SIN EL SHOT DE CAFÉ , me comentaron que si quería el café tenian que cobrarme 40 pesos más porque la base ya incluía café (¿?) PÉSIMO SERVICIO !! ya para no caer en más controversias lo acepté , pero estaba fatal super dulce y sin sabor a café =( obvio no me lo tomé . EN GENERAL MALA EXPERIENCIA EN ÉSTE HOTEL, NO LO RECOMIENDO Y NUNCA VOLVERÉ LA RELACIÓN CALIDAD-PRECIO NO ES BUENA
