When is the best time to go to Tiquillani?

The best time to go to Tiquillani is during the dry season, which runs from May to October. During these months, you'll experience clear skies and plenty of sunshine, making it ideal for exploring the natural beauty of the Puno Region. The temperatures are generally mild during the day, although evenings can be cool, so it's wise to pack layers. This period is great for outdoor activities like hiking and boat trips on Lake Titicaca, as the weather is most stable and predictable. For those planning to visit during local festivals, June is a particularly good month. The Inti Raymi festival, while primarily celebrated in Cusco, has smaller, significant observances in the Puno region, offering a rich cultural experience.

"The place and staff were exceptional. The only problem I had with it all was it was an extremely cold, cloudy day. After arriving about 2 PM, on a freezing day, and after seeing my jetted tub in the window nook, all I wanted was the promised 24 hour available hot water that was promised. Unfortunately, there was not only NOT a showers worth of hot water, but also not even a moments worth of hot water. The margins were warmer than freezing, and just colder than tepid. I realize that their...

Sonesta Posadas del Inca Lake Titicaca - Puno

10/10 Excellent

"We had an amazing stay in this hotel which for me has the best location and view right on the lake. We have been travelling up and down the country for 2 weeks and spending a day resting in the beautiful garden overlooking the lake surrounded by cute alpacas and cuys ( guinea pigs ) was a beautiful way to recharge . The staff was very friendly and helpful, buffet breakfast offered a good variety of fresh and cooked food and dinner and drinks were also very tasty. I wish I spent more than 2 days there and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it to anyone wishing to visit Puno. Thank you to all the staff!"
