"Do not spend the money for this horribly outdated hotel! You are much better off staying at an "apartment" that one of the locals can provide. I am not an overly picky hotel guest, and I come from a Croatian background, so I normally cut hotels some slack in Croatia, knowing that they are not quite what I would expect in North America, but I couldn't wait to leave this horrible relic from the old communist days of tourism. I cannot stress enough how much I didn't enjoy it! There is NO way that...

Top Tijesno Hotel Reviews

D-Resort Šibenik

10/10 Excellent

"A very good hotel with an excellent restaurant and breakfast."

Armerun Heritage Hotel

8/10 Good

"The hotel itself was lovely! Our room was exceptionally clean, the views of the water were beautiful, and the toiletries were a nice touch. The mini fridge was stocked with complimentary nonalcoholic drinks, which was a fantastic perk. The complimentary breakfast was also excellent, with great food and a nice way to start the day. Unfortunately, the service didn’t quite match the property. The receptionist came across as a bit snooty and disingenuous, and the waitstaff at both dinner and breakfast were frustratingly slow to come to our table and check on us. It wasn’t terrible service, but it certainly wasn’t the warm, attentive hospitality you’d hope for at a hotel of this caliber. Overall, a beautiful property with excellent amenities, lovely water views, and a great breakfast, but the staff could benefit from a little more genuine warmth and attentiveness."

Molum Hotel & Residences

10/10 Excellent

"Really enjoyed our stay, new and modern apartment with everything that we could ask for. 2 bedrooms, 2 baths, good kitchen, living area and dining area with garden access. Really only two things that we were missing was a view (looking into a neighboring house) and more heating in the pool."

Frequently asked questions

What is the best area to stay in Tijesno?

The best area to stay in Tijesno is certainly around the main village centre and its immediate surroundings.

This area provides the most convenience for visitors, with the majority of accommodation, restaurants, and shops clustered along the waterfront and the narrow streets leading away from it. The main promenade, stretching along the marina, is where you'll find many of the local eateries and cafes. It's a compact village, making everything easily accessible on foot.

Couples looking for a relaxing getaway will appreciate staying here. You'll be steps away from the water, with opportunities for boat trips to nearby islands or simply enjoying the views from a waterfront restaurant. The small, secluded beaches just a short walk from the centre offer a peaceful spot for sunbathing and swimming.

For those attending the Garden Festival, staying in the village centre or just a short walk away is ideal. It provides easy access to the festival site at The Garden Resort, often just a 10 to 15-minute walk along the coastline.

When is the best time to go to Tijesno?

The best time to visit Tijesno is during the shoulder seasons, specifically May, June, September, and early October.

During these months, the weather is pleasantly warm, ideal for exploring the Dalmatian coast and enjoying outdoor activities without the intense heat and crowds of the peak summer months. You'll find the sea warm enough for swimming, and the natural beauty of the region, including the nearby Krka National Park and Kornati Islands, is at its best.

For couples looking for a romantic and relaxed getaway, these months offer a more intimate experience. Restaurants and attractions are open, but you'll have an easier time securing reservations and enjoying a peaceful stroll through the charming streets of Tisno or along the picturesque waterfront without the busiest crowds.

Families travelling with children will also appreciate the milder temperatures and fewer crowds. It makes visiting attractions like the local beaches or taking boat trips to the islands more comfortable and enjoyable.
