Accommodation is made up of a double mezzanine bedroom, bunk room (2 beds), bathroom with shower & toilet, kitchen, large living room with a south facing balcony and a ski locker. Free Wi-Fi / internet comes with the apartment. This centrally heated apartment is very comfortable and can easily cater for up to 6 persons. There is a mezzanine double bed in the main bedroom, a bunk bed in the second bedroom and a double sofa bed in the living room. The apartment comes fully furnished to a very high standard with all equipment as new. The kitchen is fully equipped with electric hob, dishwasher, fridge, toaster, kettle, coffee maker with plenty of cutlery, crockery and glasses. Other features include a 26' flat screen TV, satellite TV channels, hair dryer, iron, ironing board. Bed linen and towels and final cleaning are included in the price. The Resort: The Savoie Region of France is a mecca for skiers of all abilities from across Europe. Being the highest resort in Europe the one thing that Tignes is guaranteed is good snow. The season starts earlier and finishes later than most other resorts. According to 'The good Ski & Snowboarding Guide 2005' Tignes is one of only two ski areas in France listed as 'Snow-sure resorts'. Tignes skiing is a combination of the pistes of Tignes and Val D'Isere which combine to make up the L’Espace Killy. There are 300km of pistes: 20 green runs, 60 blues, 35 reds and 16 blacks, plus 44 km of cross country skiing, 2 terrain parks, 2 glaciers and 90 ski lifts including 2 high speed underground trains (funicular railways). It offers the largest area of on piste skiing in Europe as well as some of the most extensive off piste skiing making Tignes one of Europe's premier resorts. The majority of runs are wide and therefore suitable for all levels of skiers or boarder with 5 free lifts for beginners. How to get there: Tignes can be accessed easily throughout the year via various forms of transport. The alps are primarily served by five airports; Lyon, Grenoble, Geneva Chambéry and Turin all of which have regular flights from the UK and Ireland. Carriers to these destinations include, Easyjet, Aer Lingus, Ryanair, Flybe, bmibaby, Thompson Fly and British Airways. Bourg St-Maurice train station is the nearest station to Tignes. This is served at all times of the year by French mainline services. Eurostar also runs a service known as the 'Snow Train' at weekends throughout the winter season that is direct from London. Road access to the Tarentaise region is remarkably good thanks to the 1992 Albertville Olympic games, especially from Chambéry and Lyon. Transfers from these Airports can be made entirely on motorways as far as Moûtiers (36 miles from Tignes) and then on roads that have been widened to accommodate the hundreds of buses that use them throughout the year. Travel Tip: We suggest that given the transfer time from the airport to the resort you book an early flight when arriving and a late flight when departing. It’s almost ski-in (you can ski to within 100 metres) but not ski-out (it’s a 5-minute walk to a lift). The kitchen has everything you need. The only drawback is the sliding doors that don’t close fully, including the door to the bathroom, meaning there’s limited privacy when you’re on the toilet! ##### OLIVER M. The apartment is spacious and very well equipped if you want to cook. There are panoramic views of the mountains and le lac. We were very warm during our stay.We have teenage children and the top bunk bed was ok but would caution against that this is not suitable for younger children as was flagged by the owners to us.The apartment would benefit from a guard rail on the steps to the balcony for additional safety.The hosts were very accommodating and provided key resort information and checked in with us during our stay how things were going. Aug 27, 2023 Liked: Communication, location, listing accuracy #### une bonne aventure Comme c'était bien situé, on n'a pas eu trop de difficulté à le trouver. La vue depuis l'appartement était magnifique et sans vis-à-vis. Le vent, le soleil et de l'air pure rendent le séjour agréable. Néanmoins, on n'a pas eu le code d'entrée de l'extérieur ni le bon code pour la boîte à clés sur la porte de l'appartement. Heureusement qu'on a pu trouver la gardienne qui était très sympathique pour résoudre les problèmes. D'ailleurs c'est la présence d'une gardienne qui était décisive dans notre choix vu que le propriétaire n'est pas sur place. Celui-ci toutefois a été très réactif à nos messages. C'était poussireux à l'arrivée et les équipements sont fonctionnels mais parfois vétustes. On n'a pas osé utiliser le sèche-cheveux ni la bouilloire. Points positifs : L'emplacement, la taille pour 5 personnes, les draps et serviettes + un lit parapluie fournis (pour les bébés ça évite d'en ramener un), l'attention et la disponibilité des propriétaires et de Mara sur place. Points à améliorer : la lumière ne marchait pas dans l'entrée, il manque des porte-serviette dans la salle de bain et une petite poubelle. Il n'y a pas de poignée sur les portes coulissantes à l'intérieur des pièces (chambres + toilette/salle de bain). Il manque un économe pour la cuisine et il n'y a que 2 verres à pied (dont un cassé). Ce ne sont que des petits détails. Notre séjour n'en fût pas moins très agréable, la vue sur le lac depuis la chambre avec la mezzanine apporte un cachet supplémentaire. ##### William B. A savoir que les lits simples sont un poil petits pour un adulte. La localisation est vraiment top. 5 minutes à pieds max de la première descente/remontée. Toutes les commodités sont à proximité. David est très attentif au bon déroulé du séjour de ses locataires. ##### YVES S.
