We stayed for the night - honestly we weren't that crazy about Lugano as a city so maybe that effected our experience. Hotel is nice but average - do not expect an actual lake view.

Pleasant but a bit dated.
Stayed for two one-night stays as part of a road trip, different rooms each time. Pros: the interconnecting rooms for a family are very convenient and the beds are comfortable. Cons: the hotel feels strikingly dated in terms of decor and amenities. We could not use European adaptors as they would not fit; there are no USB charging points in the rooms.The breakfast is ok but not a huge selling point, and we found it overall a bit soulless though it is convenient to be able to eat there in the evening as it is a distance from the centre of Lugano. For the money I felt it did not offer great value; however it was a cheaper option in the location so perhaps I am expecting too much. None of the reviews mentioned the train line behind the property! Not a deal breaker but hat means frequent and quite noticeable noise. Staff generally pleasant and helpful; a good pit-stop overall

Decent hotel with some nice people in the reception but way too expensive. I enjoyed my room on the fourth floor with a gorgeous view but when you pay way more than 300 Swiss Francs a night for this three star hotel, you expect more than a room with a Decent hotel but way too expensive. One night in Lugano
We enjoyed our stay at Hotel Delfino. We had a twin room with a balcony with a city view. The beds were very comfortable, and the air conditioner worked well. Our favorite part of our stay was the breakfast. The hotel offered an extensive breakfast buffet, and there are quite a few tables indoors and around the pool area. The pool itself is very nice, with a shower off to the side. Pool towels are available at reception. You can also get free bus passes at reception. The lake is a couple of blocks away, with easy access to the walkway that runs along the lakeside.

Overall the stay was fine only marred by - not being given an extra pillow in spite of asking twice - full breakfast not available till 8 am even though officially starts a 7 am

Classic Swiss Hotel
A good, classic looking hotel, with great service. Breakfast varied and rooms spacious. Had a lake view room which was very comfortable. Big bed (two singles pushed together, with memory foam king size top layer and pillows). Nespresso machine and complementary pods was a nice touch. As were the bottles of water in the fridge. A/C was in the room, but the control unit was missing. This was not an issue for me personally. Restaurant had a good variety of dishes and bar well stocked. Staff were very friendly too. Wifi performance was reasonable in the room and throughout the hotel, which is obviously a must for business trips. Overall, I would rate this hotel 8/10.

We paid for a double twin /king room and was given a small queen room and when I asked if we could be moved to the room that we paid for I was greeted with rudeness and told the hotel is full. I then asked how much this room costs and was told it is what we paid for.

Clean, well appointed rooms with a balcony. Lovely, helpful staff and the food in the restaurant was quite delicious. Comfy bed, the pool looked lovely (didn't use it) and our only complaint was that some of our neighbours were a wee bit noisy. But kids are kids!!

Very nice property, reasonably priced and has a fantastic view. All the basic amenities of a good hotel are there and so it's ideal for trips over the weekend. The staff were very kind, although the hotel does look somewhat dated in its décor, very 1980s but not necessarily a bad thing.

Lovely stay in beautiful Lugano
Hotel staff were very friendly and accommodating during the length of our stay. Our room was very clean on arrival and had a lovely view of the lake, The breakfast had plenty of choice with something to please the whole family. We choose the hotel for the bike facilities and we were very impressed with the separate bike lock up room and the bike washing and maintenance area. The pool temperature was perfect for a dip after a day cycling up hills!

Tiny room with no AC remote - we were told it’s due to corona.... we couldn’t open the windows as mosquitoes would eat us alive... tiniest bathroom on earth with shower impossibility to use as if you tried to use shower get installed on a wall you switched the dial into hot water - my husband burnt himself... very nice service though! Very nice people at the reception and bar and restaurant. It was a last minute booking where all other nicer places were booked already due to public holiday, we will not stay there again

The hotel is a little bit old but the location is fantastic and the staff is very friendly. We had a view of the lake and a short walk down the hill to the shore. We never had to get in the car during the visit. Wish we had stayed longer.

Average experience, OK for a night (or 2)
The hotel was good for 1 night, interior was very "eighties", but be prepared for that in this part of the world. The restaurant had a 3 course menu (2 course if you would skip dessert or starter), quality was fine, opening hours of the restaurant between 7PM and 8.30PM. Kinda awkward, but the bar was open until late that night. Location is beautiful, with a nice view over Lake Lugano (partly). Internet was basically not working. Summarising, I had a nice sleep, a few beers at the pool at night, a meal that did the trick and some breakfast in the morning. Nothing excellent, nothing bad. Closing statement, staff was very friendly!!!

Great convenient hotel
We were only in Lugano for one night but this was definitely a great choice for the hotel - the room was so spacious for three people and our room even had a tiny bit of a view of the lake. The staff was so accommodating and helpful. There was a really nice set up by the pool with tables and a great view - we didn't get to enjoy that as much as we would have liked, because of timing, but it was very pretty. They also had a nice breakfast set up that we were able to take advantage of.
