"Hamptons in the summer is going to be expensive, period. But with that should come a level of amenities and expectations commensurate with that high fee. The listing showed well, and had the amenities I was seeking. Since this was a very special occasion, we decided this was going to be perfect for the 6 of us. Overall, the 3 nights were wonderful, but the owner needs to be visiting the location more to do a fine-tune inspection of what his renters are getting. Opening the door and seeing the impressive open concept and interesting architectural push up of the ceiling with high clerestory windows was a wonderful surprise. The full wall of slider glass doors that pulled your eyes to the pool and pavilion that matched the architecture of the living room, really elevated the home. The beds were comfortable, rooms spotless, and modern clean bathrooms. Outside BBQ kitchen was a major plus! AC worked well. One wine glass is not satisfactory, nor one fry pan in very poor condition. LVRM chair needs replacing. Two days of rain saturated the pool cushions so they couldn't be used. Covers might benefit. Everything could use a bit of sprucing up. Switches not working different areas. Pool and jacuzzi needed cleaning, and service only came on last day of our visit. Outside pool table with no paddles or net. Plenty of pool towels provided inside. Extremely woody area. A simple bottle of LI wine with a greeting of some sort would have been a nice personal touch on arrival."
