Room was lovely, everything clean. Our room went out onto the garden at the back near the bar area which felt like you were in a little secret garden. Even though close to the bar there was no noise and everyone was very respectful. It has a lovely atmosphere here. Staff were all really lovely and very helpful couldn’t fault this place at all. Really good area just a short 30 minute walk into the centre.

This was a great location. The staff were super helpful leadung up to check in. So easy for us to walk where we needed to. We got upgraded to the family room which turned out to be a bonus for when my partner gets up at stupid o'clock, it meant he didn't keep me awake. I would stay here again if i ever find myself in York again.

Extremely helpful and polite staff..everyone was so nice..hotel handily placed within a very short walk for the town centre and all the attractions..parking at the rear of the hotel is an added bonus..we will be definitely using this hotel when we return to York..did I say the staff were excellent..good job and well done one and all...

Room was perfectly big for the 3 of us. Unfortunately the air conditioning was not working in the room and it was extremely hot!
Food was great and the pool was lovely and very clean.
I do think its a bit cheeky to ask for payment for parking in the hotel but overall great stay

We were made to feel welcome as soon as we stepped in the door, our room was exceptionaly clean with a comfy bed and both breakfast and evening meal was of a very high standard.
All the staff were very friendly and took the time to talk to us making us feel very settled in.
The location is central in a stunning village, with lots of free parking available.
