Floors had detritus on them. Refrigerator didn't work. Keys kept getting demagnetized way too easily and on our last night our keys stopped working entirely. Not even the master keys from the Motel 6 staff would let us into the room. In fact, the maintenance work (I assume) was given a black box device to recode the door side of the lock and they coudlnt' get it to work. He tried removing the window from its housing to let us in and that didn't work. He then used a long screwdriver to bend the doorframe out so as to allow the door to come open. All he could do was say sorry. no assurance of our continued safety or access restored via keyed entry. We called Motel 6 concern line and found that it was not staffed 24 hours a day. The hotel staff, while kind enough, weren't empowered to really help us in any meaningful way. It was the least expensive of our options and we didn't expect much but even this left us disappointed."
