This is such a charming little hotel in Delft. The staff were all very kind and friendly and professional. We were very comfortable in our room and the restaurant is excellent. We loved walking all around town as we were very close to everything.

Great decor and friendly staff but the lift wasn’t working, the service at breakfast was slow and the coffee was never hot. Had the feeling that if a corner could be cut it was. Location for centre of Delft was good

Thank you for your review. We are sorry to hear about your experience. The elevator is indeed out of order at the moment. We finally managed to find a company able to replace it, and they will be doing this next month. Your comments about the breakfast will be looked into, as this is of course not how it should be.

A great stay!
Great fun room. Location on the square is fantastic. Walking distance to everything. A room with an actual ceiling fan was nice. Great buffet breakfast. Outdoor seating area ia a must in the evening as the square comes to life. We walked to the Delft Porcelin museum no problem. All the service staff was courteous and helpful.

If you like organic beer then you will be ok. Bed was comfortable and adjustable. It is situated 5 mins walk from Delft centre

We got a really cool ocean themed room, but the layout just wasn't really functional, the room felt a bit in disrepair, and the single tiny freight elevator was not great.

The property is very old and there is no a/c in the rooms, so the heat was unbearable.... rooms could be cleaner . The staff was very friendly and the breakfast was ok.

I loved the area they are in with beautiful trees, different terraces of other restaurants on the same square, easy to reach and choices in breakfasts. All employees were nice and competent. A great place to have holidays as well Delft is exquisite.

Central Location but expensive.
An old Hotel with no air con only a ceiling fan, expensive for what you get. unless other bedrooms were better than mine. The best thing is the location in central Delft, and the staff.

Location is great, while choosing your room theme!
A very unique hotel with a great location located on the main square. Restaurant and décor preserve the historicalness of the building while the rooms have been designed to reflect a specific theme. Choose with whichever one you like. The service is excellent. Breakfast is very nice too!

Was in Delft for a conference. The breakfast buffet was a bonus- well catered for with local products. The room was of decent size and clean and tidy. I had a great view overlooking the plaza (room 104). Bed comfortable. As was doing some work within the room, it would have been good to have coffee/ tea facilities- though the cafe was just downstairs. Also, the soap dispensers kept falling off...

An impromptu stay but a good one. Nice relaxing public areas for a drink and breakfast. No aircon which I don’t normally mind but stayed during recent heatwave! Would stay here again

We booked a "superior room" this meant that it was a "themed" room. We imagined it would have meant a room with a bit more space, instead of that we had the weirdest room that we have ever stayed in. I am sure that some people would have loved it but we found it a bit dark.

Loved the vintage ambiance. The location povided an excellent base from which to esxplore the Hague. Delf is just the right size to explore, meet people and do a little shopping. I'd stay there again and recommend it as a welcome change from the cookie cutter lodging of the big hotel chains.

Very warm and welcoming
We weren't expecting to love it as much as we did. The hotel was fun and cute--the bar and the breakfast were wonderful. The staff was great, and the location was excellent--highly recommend Delft and the Hotel De Plataan Delft Centrum.

Speedy and friendly check-in. Comfortable room with everything you would need for a leisure trip. Nice choice of food at breakfast. Ideal hotel for exploring Delft, with some fabulous restaurants and bars close by. Free car parking a real bonus

Great hotel
Great hotel for a trip to Delft. Quirky but comfortable and reasonably priced. It is located in a quiet part of town near some bars and restaurants but is still only a few minutes walk from the main areas. We ordered a standard room but received a free upgrade to a ‘themed’ room. The hotel has several of these rooms which are decorated in different styles. Ours was done as a French house. Staff were all very friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was included and this was very good. We only stayed one night but if returning to Delft we would definitely stay there again.

Themed rooms in a quaint square in a small town.
We had an amazing time here. Staff was exceptional. Room was clean and had so much charm. The themed rooms are great. We had the Garden of Eden room which was fanciful and amazing. Made the stay that much more fun. Wonderful location in a quaint little town with a beautiful little square.

We opted to stay in Delft instead of crowded, expensive Amsterdam. Easy train ride (one hour) to Amsterdam. The hotel is eclectic in a nice way. Parking was free. Hotel centers around plants and flowers. A canal is alongside the hotel. Breakfast was excellent. The room was interesting. Clean but not modern facility. Elevator available. Room itself was on two levels, bed and bathroom on lower half, sitting area and desk on 3-steps up area of room. Bells from nearby church, does ring frequently but is charming. Very close to sites and to train station. All of the Netherlands bike so you have to be careful. Bar and outside terrace available. Staff spoke English and were very helpful and professional. Would definitely stay there again.

Delightfully quirky in a great location
Different in style to the usual chain hotels the De Plataan is delightfully quirky with each room individually designed. The designs might not be to everybody's taste but there is no doubting they are different. Our room was equipped with an electrically adjustable bed which was ideal for my bad back and led to one of the most comfortable stays I have ever had in a hotel. Not too sure whether every room has the same type of bed so it is best to check beforehand. Situated in a delightful square with a couple of restaurants opposite it is still very quiet and peaceful yet still only a short five minute walk to the centre of Delft. A good breakfast and on-site parking all included in I would heartily recommend this hotel.
