Very nice property, garden was beautiful and pool facilities very clean. The apartment was comfortable, nicely appointed, and amenities were provided. The staff were cordial And the service was excellent. I would stay here again.

Amazing couple and beautiful home

We were welcomed and given ideas on how to make our weekend away even better. They also had the most amazing local food and hot tub ever. We will definitely come back.

Wonderful Visit

We had plans to meet my brother and sister-in-law in The Dalles this past June. On a chance, I inquired about rooms with R&R, and fortunately for us they had a cancelation for the nights we needed. We all stayed together in the downstairs apartment and it was perfect! Kevin and Julie are the best hosts and made us feel right at home. The accommodations were impeccable, the breakfast each morning was 5 star and it was very clean and quiet. We also enjoyed the pool each evening. Overall a wonderful visit - we hope to return to the R&R Guesthouse soon!

R&R Guesthouse, The Dalles

I loved my stay at the R&R Guesthouse! Along with two friends, I stayed in the apartment rooms. The accommodations were lovely, super comfortable and very clean. We had breakfast with the other guests, and the food was fantastic. Julie and Kevin were great hosts. The downtown area is a pleasant 15-20 minutes walk; otherwise, there is free ample parking near restaurants and shops.

Outstanding B&B

Gourmet breakfasts every morning, each different and each featuring local and Oregon produce and products. Cherries, hazelnuts, chard and herbs from the garden, local vegetables and fruits. Generous servings of fresh fruit daily. It is a very healthy and hearty start to the day. And the breakfast table is very elegantly dressed with changing decorations and always with candles. Our accommodation was lovely with plenty of space for three and a sizeable and thoroughly equipped kitchen. We enjoyed take out dinners there from among the many great places to eat in The Dalles. It was a lovely fall weather pattern of overcast in the morning and sun faithfully coming out in the afternoon so we could enjoy the valley views and Mount Saint Helens in the distance. The town is charming and historic. The R&R is an exceptional place to stay. Highly recommended.

Wonderful weekend in The Dalles!

We really enjoyed our weekend and the freedom to come and go from the R&R Guesthouse. Kevin and Julie were warm and inviting, and we had a lovely talk on the porch with a bottle of wine, the kitty, and a lovely view. The food was fabulous, and their hospitality was gracious and flexible. They gave us great ideas on things to do and see, places to eat and drink, and wonderful accommodations in their well appointed room and private bath. The property is lovely - next time I'm trying out the hot tub and salt water pool. I would definitely recommend the R&R Guesthouse, and we will definitely stay there in the future.

Wonderful Hosts!

Couldn't ask for better Hosts! Kevin and Julie were wonderful. Stayed two nights, and they made sure we had everything we needed. Their home is so inviting, and the backyard a dream retreat. Would definitely go back, and recommend to any friends or relatives.

Beautiful Victorian home.

I can't say enough about R & R GuestHouse. We spent 3 nights and 2 days at this beautiful Victorian home. We were greeted by both the owners "Kevin & Julia" with the most warming welcome you can imagine. They went out of their way in making sure we felt like it was our home and what we could discover around town while we stayed there. We received more than what we expected. We felt a close bond with them. They are the most amazing human beings. We look forward to coming back soon and cooking together. Great memories!

Best little B&B anywhere.

This B&B was an absolute gem. From the lavish home cooked breakfasts on the patio in the flowering garden, to the well-appointed apartment, stocked with everything one could possibly want, charming hosts Julie and Kevin create a warm and welcoming ambience and give the best of themselves. I consider myself fortunate to have been able to experience an encounter with such lovely people in such a beautiful place.

Absolutely remarkable!

Where to begin.. Kevin and Julie are by far the most gracious hosts we have ever encountered on all our travels. They went the extra mile to make sure that everything was perfect and all our needs were met. I would rate this B&B higher if at all possible - absolutely worth every penny. They even had wine with a cheese and meat plate set out for us the evening we arrived. Would highly recommend to others and would absolutely stay again.

Warm and Welcoming home away from home!

The R&R Guesthouse was beautiful and charming, it felt like a home away from home while on vacation. Our hosts, Julie and Kevin, were warm and welcoming. We were greeted with a delicious and thoughtful charcuterie board, accompanied by some local wine and beer. Our apartment style room was beautiful! We slept comfortably in the space, it had a remodeled kitchen and bathroom, plenty of living space, and a semi-private bedroom. Julie and Kevin recommended some local restaurants for both dinner that evening, and breakfast the next morning. We took their suggestions for both, and were thoroughly impressed. The yard at the R&R Guesthouse is one to admire! The landscaping and deck are impeccable, not a blade of grass out of place. They have a pool, and a hot tub available for use. When we return to Oregon, we would love to stay here again. The Ryan's are natural hosts, and I would recommend this property to anyone traveling in this area. It is truly a gem!

Beautiful guesthouse

We stayed in five guest houses and one luxury hotel during our 17-day trip to Oregon and Washington and this was far the best of all our accommodations. Kevin and Julie are perfect hosts. The attention to detail is second to none. The outdoor living space was amazing - hot tub, small heated sea water swimming pool and two eating areas. The breakfasts were delicious eaten with other guests and Julie and Kevin. I cannot say anything negative about our stay here. Try it for yourselves.

Staying at Kevin and Julie's B&B was the best decision we could have made for the last 5 days of our 4-week vacation in the U.S. We were absolutely gobsmacked by the beauty and luxurious feel of their home. Kevin and Julie put a lot of love and creativity into the design of their B&B - a mix of antique and modern fittings, illuminated Jacuzzi and pool, plush towels, egyptian cotton bedsheets, and general attention to the minutest detail. We had the best sleep ever on comfortable mattresses you would expect from a 5-star hotel. Kevin and Julie were the most amazing hosts, very knowledgeable of the area with great expertise on regional wines and foods, and things to do in the area. They were very attentive to our needs, spending time with us when we wanted to socialize and withdrawing when we needed privacy, without us even saying a word. Both are great with kids, making this stay very memorable for our two children as well, by constantly pulling out fun things to do, like crafty things, toys, pool tools etc... If you want to explore the Columbia River Gorge, The Dalles is a perfect starting point, with much drier and warmer weather than just 20 minutes west. We travel a lot and have high standards for comfort and beauty, but we left this place with the fullest satisfaction. Kevin and Julie's bed and breakfast will be our number one choice for the Columbia River Gorge. Thank you for making the end of our vacation a perfect memory!

Julie and Kevin are a warm and friendly couple who have excellent taste in design and an appreciation for modern comforts and conveniences. Despite our late arrival on New Year's Eve (10:30pm!), Julie and Kevin greeted us with warm smiles and a champagne toast to ring in the new year! They showed us around their beautifully quaint home with the perfect updates and modern touches (wired stereo throughout the house and backyard, crazy-awesome hot tub, individual room temp control, etc.) and took the time to explain how to use everything. They even had the fire pit already set up with wood in case we wanted a fire that night! Throughout the house, we found personalized touches to help make us feel comfortable and welcome. We most definitely will be coming back to stay for our next Mt. Hood trip! Thanks Kevin and Julie!

My first bed and breakfast

An hour or so after I made the reservation, I got a call from the homeowner asking me if the reservation was for the correct day (I made it late, same day). I was very impressed with him going out of his way to verify that I didn't make the reservation in error. I told him where I was and he told me exactly how to get to there. Literally, explicit street names to the T and it was all spot on. The location itself is in a very nice neighborhood. I was met outside in the 10 degree or so weather to get help with my bags. Inside the home was very cozy. It was nice but not over the top and it have a very nice 'welcome home' vibe. I travel a lot for work and stay in a lot of hotels, but I have never been met with such wonderful customer service. They showed me around, told me that I had full access to the kitchen and bathrooms and my room had its own climate control and EXTREMELY FAST WIFI. (One of my favorite parts). I had some food I bought from the grocery store that they heated up for me. There was also nice conversation with the owners. I had mentioned that I was normally not a talkative person and they offered to leave me alone; it made me want to socialize with them because they were so friendly in every possible way. I actually picked up a few real estate tips from them, as well. This place is awesome and you should stay here if you're ever in the Dalles.

Heaven on earth!

We just spent two days there and the amenities,the atmosphere and service were impeccable! I cannot say enough good things about this place or Kevin & Julie. The only bad part was having to leave!
