"We had one of the few rooms that overlooked the Loch. What a view! Room was very comfortable and clean. Staff friendly and helpful. "

"Location is excellent. However, standard of property is poor and in desperate need of some TLC and a deep clean. Examples are: Oven stinks of grease, mould in the shower, dirty skirting boards, paintwork scuffed and marked around table area and where bins have bashed into the walls, furniture heavily worn and stained, outside the bbq was unusable as totally rusted and the bench could do with a power wash and a repaint, the bathroom tap was too fierce shooting water everywhere which has destroyed the lamination on the cabinet. All in all, standard was way below expectations and did not meet the description - was certainly not luxury. There was a light bulb out in the bathroom over the sink when we arrived. Reported first thing next morning, assured “we will sort that for you right away” but it was still out 5 days later when we left!!! Says it all really. Such a shame as it could be really lovely."

"Party of six and one grandchild. The cottage was ideal for our group and large enough so that we never felt in each others way. Cleanliness, equipment, comfort and location were excellent. It was a pleasure to spend time there and we felt that we could have happily stayed in the grounds venturing out only for food when necessary. My only negative comment is that the downstairs bedroom needs a set of drawers instead of the chair. This lack of drawer space meant that we lived out of our suitcases, as the small shelf in the wardrobe is inadequate for a stay longer than a few days (Comfort score 4 was because of this). Hot Tub and Sauna were great and used every evening. The cottage is excellent and in a lovely peaceful location. All in all we had a great time and hope to return again."

"Myself and two friends stayed for the weekend to celebrate our friend's 50th birthday. The place is beautiful and we were so lucky with the weather. The property has everything you need and more. We visited the Carrick Spa each day, which made the trip for us just perfect. We ate in the Cruin each night for dinner, food and service were brilliant. Would highly recommend the property and would definitely love to stay again in the future."

"For a 5 star hotel breakfast was not on point. It was a hot plate option. Dog friendly hotel but that does not mean dogs should be on seats. This was like a 5 star butlins. This hotel lives on a name. "

"This was our second stay at Lomond Castle and just as impressive as the first. The apartment is perfect for a couple, with a very comfy and spacious bed, good shower (and bath), well equipped kitchen and a lovely living room space to relax in. Being right next to the Loch means that you wake up to a beautiful view each day, and the location is perfect for exploring. Overall, perfect for a short stay, and we will certainly be back again in the future."
