Apple Farm

"I have stayed previously in their motel side, smaller rooms, but very charming and I love that your car can park right outside your door for convenience. Here they also allow dogs, which was great for us. This trip I came without my dog and stayed in the main building. I had a very nice stay, lovely spacious room, good shower and bed, coffee, and tea bar in the lobby. I prefer the idea of everything being included in the price of your hotel, however, they charge extra for parking ($25), and for “amenities“ ($10). They have a pool (didn’t use) and they give you tasty cookies at check-in, but this does not feel special when they tack on these fees, unless it is a true vacation resort. Being a senior myself, and recalling the heyday at the Apple Farm when my parents loved to come here, I am disappointed to see how things have changed, in particular with the restaurant and gift shop. No longer do you feel like Family, walking through the pretty garden and “back door” and through the well stocked gift shop and bakery, as it used to be. Now you walk up to the street entrance, and if you decide to stay, you will have a long wait for everything, as it is understaffed. The food may be good, but the wait time is a deterrent, and this time I chose to go elsewhere for my breakfast. It is still a lovely property and I hope business improves over time to where they can resume some of the practices that made it the awesome getaway that it was, “back in the Day.” 💭"

"The property was really nice. The room was spacious and quiet. Dogs are allowed and even have an area for potty breaks. I will say though they provide poop bags which is really nice, there are NO trash cans outside to throw it away and I don't want to bring it inside. That's one area they can improve. The outside area is very nice with a small lawn and corn hole game, patio with a bar counter and bar service. Firepits that they light in the evening and on Thursdays they have live music. They also have a heated pool and spa tub. It's very conveniently located near shopping and the freeway. Couldn't have asked for a more perfect place to stay."

"We had a wonderful stay at Cavalier Oceanfront. The property was very clean, comfortable, and in a beautiful location right by the ocean. The sunset views were absolutely perfect and one of the highlights of our stay. The room was well maintained, and we really appreciated the nice minibar and thoughtful amenities. The staff were friendly, helpful, and made us feel very welcome throughout our visit. Overall, it was a relaxing and enjoyable experience with a great location, beautiful ocean views, and excellent service. We would definitely stay here again."

"Loved the hotel was near everything we wanted to see and do. The staff was very friendly and helpfull. The breakfast was wonderfull. The staff kept everything full and hot. We will be staying here again next time we're in town."

"I think it’s a fine hotel for the price. Love the pool and the spa, nice size rooms. I would definitely stay there again. Much better than all the other hotels in its price range. San Luis Obispo is extremely overpriced in most of their hotels."
