I have mixed views about this hotel. It is stylish, comfortable, great location and very good customer service.
However the 4 floors of bedrooms look down on the lounge/dining room area and hence noise from downstairs carries upwards to the bedrooms. On one night of our stay there was a party on the ground floor. The music was so loud I was able to Shazam the songs from our room on the second floor! I phoned reception to ask when the music would stop and was told 12.30am! I asked if the volume could be turned down and following that it became a little quieter but it didn't stop completely until around midnight. However even on non party nights, the music is quite loud and the sound carries to the rooms. If you like an early night with peace and quiet, this probably isn't the hotel for you! There is also noisy construction work on one side of the hotel which starts at 6.15am - we moved rooms! The rooms have very little storage space - our room 307 had only one drawer and no wardrobe, just a few coat hangers on a rail above the tea/coffee facilities. So it was impossible to fully unpack. Breakfast was good but the buffet is only for bread/pastries and eggs and coffee are to order and other food, whether you want it or not, is brought to the table on a cake stand. Feels a bit pointless and a full buffet would be preferable. In summary, a really nice hotel but I can't help feeling too much attention was paid to the appearance of the hotel rather than practicality.
