"The Villa Marina is run by two of the most wonderful people you could ever meet. Vince and Erwan were amazing hosts who would do anything to ensure you had a wonderful stay. The hotel is super clean, the breakfasts ensured lunch may not be required! A location not far from the sea or town centre and an overall lovely atmosphere. Their knowledge of the local area was well received by everyone which helped guests make the most of their time in Torquay. I can’t thank them enough for making my stay...

"The room was adequate and comfortable for a two night stay, and although rated as a superior room, the photos are somewhat misleading (no easy chairs and table, let alone any space for any, as shown when booking). The breakfast selection was good, as was the overall dining experience, although we did find one of the main evening courses of poor quality. To the credit of the hotel they waived the cost of the dish without any hesitation or question, so full credit on that score. The drinks selection was good and overall the bar and restaurant costs were reasonable. The staff we met were all pleasant and helpful."

"We arrived early evening and were warmly greeted and shown around the room. The owner was very helpful and friendly. The room was amazing, clean and furnished to an extremely high standard. The bed and bedding was absolutely amazing and comfortable. Breakfast was set in a lovely room, with an immense amount of options to eat. The fried breakfast was divine and was made up of high quality produce. Thanks for our lovely stay and we have already recommended you to all our friends and family."

"This was a great house in beautiful Shaldon. Really lovely host with great communication. We did have to hunt for a few things in the kitchen and we found the sofa quite hard. Apart from that, everything was wonderful. We'll definitely come back to gorgeous, friendly Shaldon. P.s. try the food at The London Inn and beers at the Ferryboat Inn, also the Shipwrights literally a minute away from the house."

"A very quirky house with lots to see! Four lovely bedrooms. The pool table was great and used every day. The kitchen had everything we could need.Our only niggle was that although its a house to fit up to 8 people there are only six dining chairs, and only six outdoor chairs. I also think that the crockery, cutlery and glasses are a bit random with no set of 8 of anything, or even 6! An easy fix though and not a complaint just a viewpoint Ideal for a visit to the area and a short walk to the beach and town centre"
