However this motel is out of the way and you really need a car to go exploring. The motel is a little dated especially the bathroom. the bedroom was spacious and comfortable however the TV felt like it was going to fall off the wall as the mount wobbled. Parking was ok as high outside our room but could see it being tight for some people. We met the owner on checking out the following morning who was lovely along with their dog - so cute. He also informed us that the motel is pet friendly so worth bearing in mind if you are travelling with a pet. Steve and his team went out of Their way to ensure we had a perfect holiday. It's a pity we didn't have more time there as I could've lounged by the pool all afternoon. Expedia / Summit Lodge allocated me a room with a queen and three twins, which I was charged for, at a higher rate than the single room. The front-desk man was inflexible. He said they were fully booked and it could not be changed. I am OCD when it comes to cleanliness and Summit Lodge has surpassed all expectations. The beds are super comfortable, with waterproof protectors on them, which is fabulous, the toiletries were superb, especially the hand/body lotion. The towels are beautifully soft and fluffy. An A++++ experience.
