Nice Motel but out of the way

I was looking forward to staying here as we had heard a lot of nice things about Tauranga. However this motel is out of the way and you really need a car to go exploring. The motel is a little dated especially the bathroom. the bedroom was spacious and comfortable however the TV felt like it was going to fall off the wall as the mount wobbled. Parking was ok as high outside our room but could see it being tight for some people. We met the owner on checking out the following morning who was lovely along with their dog - so cute. He also informed us that the motel is pet friendly so worth bearing in mind if you are travelling with a pet. It wasn't the best motel but was ok and can't fault the service or the cleanliness of the room.

An Overnight Stay

Room was very clean, warm and well presented. Check-in was smooth and friendly staff. Our room was adjacent to busy main road so a little noisy through the night - would definitely stay here again though but will ask for room away from main road.

Excellent stay

Good location in the Tauranga suburb of Judea. The owner was friendly and helpful when checking in, whilst showing me to our room., parking for our rental car was outside the room. Our room was a n excellent size with an equipped kitchen. The bed was comfortable and the room was quiet. Quick wifi was included in the room.

Basic but clean and tidy

The rooms are a bit dated. The shower is a good height if your short. Parking is awkward for some rooms. Staff were friendly. Overall it was an okay experience.

Great motel with everything you need - liked the separate kitchen area from the bedroom. Only downside is it is a bit out of the way from Tauranga and Mount Maunganui but, with a car, we preferred it for the quiet. Manager and assistant were really great - very helpful when I needed to pay the toll online [found myself on a toll road, recently built in finding the motel].

Nice Motel

Nice room, with A/C, and sliding doors on to a small patio, which looked out on to a bit of lawn and a no-exit street, so we had a peaceful area to relax in. Traffic on Waihi Rd was a bit hectic, so entering and exiting the motel was a bit of a gamble, especially in rush hour. However the friendly staff and clean rooms (maybe a little dated) made up for it.

Well suited to our needs. More than adequate.

We booked from a distance and weren't certain that location was right for us. Overall, we were pleasantly surprised. The staff were very attentive and helpful.

Family friendly hotel beautifully presented

We stayed for 13 nights and had an amazing time! 1 bedroom apartment was perfect for me husband and 2 kids. Pool and spa was sparkling clean. Rooms were cleaned to an exceptional standard daily. All staff were friendly and approachable. From the beds to the towels to the shampoo all were top quality. Steve and his team went out of Their way to ensure we had a perfect holiday. We will be back again for sure!

Nice motel in good location

Very clean and comfortable motel with good facilities. Would be happy to return. The address is a bit misleading as our GPS did not pick up that Waihi Road is in 2 pieces and we drove around quite awhile before finally reaching our destination. May be better to have the address as the side street where the entrance to the motel actually is.

Great stay

We only stayed one night but from check-in to check-out everything was great. Friendly, helpful staff who made you feel welcome. We were happy with our room which faced onto a quiet street and was quite roomy. Shower was good and bed comfy, although hubby found it a bit too soft. Swimming pool was excellent especially in this hot weather. It's a pity we didn't have more time there as I could've lounged by the pool all afternoon. We definitely would stay here again.

Rude staff. Won't stay again.

Reception was incredibly rude. Parking was ridiculous. Decided to leave after one night of my 3night stay. I told reception about some maintenance issues with the room and was accused of causing said damages.. not impressed.

Wow!! I will be back.

The summit motor logde was prefect for our over night stay. Check in was hassle free, our room was great so comfortable spacious and super clean. I would so stay there again and i’ve already told friends. Just a short drive and you have shops restaurants and the beach what more could you ask for.

Very nice setup, super quick internet, away from the touristy area, but easy to get to city centre and it’s definitely great for kids.

As a recent widow, I booked a single room with a queen size bed. Expedia / Summit Lodge allocated me a room with a queen and three twins, which I was charged for, at a higher rate than the single room. The front-desk man was inflexible. He said they were fully booked and it could not be changed. After lengthy discussion ( he seemed incapable of understanding that a room with four beds, three of which would be unused and empty is not a happy scene for me) he miraculously found a vacant room with a queen and only ONE single bed.

Not enough pillows, fan pushed shower curtain onto you in shower, shower temperature kept changing hot to cold, no bread board in kitchen, only blunt knifes, balcony was joined along front with others, staff friendly.
