"Francesco and Melissa were great hosts in this stunning house. They gave us loads of information on where to go during the days and where to eat in the evenings (excellent restaurant every time). "When we arrived we were shown a room about 20 sq m. We had reserved an apartment room 55 sq m, with full kitchen. After showing them my reservation I was told the room wasn't available because they were under reservation. The whole front of the building is scaffolded and looks like it has been like this fir awhile. We had to find another place in the evening as we had food that would spoil. My advise.DO NOT STAY HERE. You get charged another 10 euro a day if you dare to use the air conditioning and it must be in cash. Half a small pottle of yogurt each for breakfast is a touch inadequate. However the rooms are clean, tiny but clean. "

The person said to come to the Akropolis Hotel which was just a short walk. Apparently they are sister hotels and my reservation was switched but because I booked on hotels.com they staff couldn’t reach me. No big deal, as it was close by. "A lovely hotel just a five minute walk to Ostuni centro storico. I arrived by car, for a one night stay, and was able to make use of the free secure overnight parking just 300 meters along from the hotel. The staff were very polite and welcoming, both at reception and throughout. The hotel is furnished to a very high standard. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. Although situated on a main thoroughfare, there was no street or traffic noise overnight. The breakfast offering was excellent. Probably the best of my 10 day Puglia trip. Mostly continental-style, with lots of healthy cereal nut and fruit options, along with the usual pastries breads cheeses and eggs etc. Would certainly recommend."
