The lodge and staff are great. I was disappointed in the inability to surf fish in front of the lodge. The reason being swimmers. The only person in the water was me fishing between the end of the lodge beach and the park pier. The wif and I did not find the food very good at the Food Craft dining at the hotel. My food was ok, she sent hers back and was not charged. The park provides a free parking pass for vets to use at all the park facilities and also discounts the the rate to fish on the pier. I would go back to stay at the lodge, but plan my surf fishing in the Orange Beach area.

Amazing location, beautiful property and exception amenities. The only thing I’d change is that the bed was listed as being a king, but definitely more like a full.
