They charged me more than what you all quoted

Housekeeping needs to be “requested” before 8am. I’m on vacation! Why would I be up before 8? And why do I have to ask for my room to be cleaned? The toilet didn’t work. The air conditioner was so loud I couldn’t hear the waves. The breakfast was tasteless, no fresh fruit, the orange juice watered down to undrinkable. The elevator shook so badly I didn’t want to take it. We cut our vacation short because the conditions were so bad.

Upon check-in we were hot with the $10/day parking fee. I'm not sure why establishments choose to start off on a bad foot like this, but Benton agreed it should just be worked into the room rate. We were there for a combination anniversary/work trip and it was evident that this place doesn't like non loyalty members. Four days no room service despite multiple carts/staff on our floor when we would leave in the morning. The entire staff seems to be overworked and likely underpaid. The nickel and diming didn't just stop at parking. Literally nothing else is included except some rickety beach cruisers they don't have helmets for. The bar was deserted until a bartender ran by saying she'd be right with us. Then seemed to not know her own inventory. Our sheets had what we will say is a rust stain just to keep our my ones at ease. All in all I would avoid this place. The manager is clearly miserable and that oozes down and through the staff. The only positive is that it's new and downtown. There's plenty of other hotels in the area to choose from that don't have this theme of misery. Oh and our final morning we were awoken to the sounds of a housekeeper in the adjacent room catterwhaling. She was not letting tone or timing stop her. Chose not to address issues with the front desk agent that looked like she was being held there at gun point and it was evident from the hotel staffs energy that it would be ignored or brushed off.
