Wow, the experience at Chomi House was amazing! We were the only guests on the property, and the individualized attention was incredible. The host made great breakfasts and dinners, arranged any private tour we wanted, showed us sloths and monkeys and cacao trees on or around the property. And our private pool was lovely! It’s hard to get in here but you should try!

I had a fantastic stay at this place! The house was very nice—clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. The owner was incredibly friendly and welcoming, which made the experience even better. The swimming pool was a huge bonus, especially during the hot days—it was the perfect place to relax and cool off. One of the highlights was seeing plenty of animals, including monkeys, right around the house, which really added to the tropical vibe. The tours offered were also excellent and gave us a great opportunity to explore the area and experience the local culture. Highly recommended!

The Chombi House is the perfect place for a family or small group to have a relaxing retreat in the Peruvian jungle. Elmer is a very gracious host, and his family all participates in preparing and serving the meals in the common eating area. The bungalow is very comfortable and the pool is very welcome in the heat of the day. Elmer helped arrange taxis for our family both to and from the bungalow as it is too far from Puerto Maldonado to walk. Elmer has a pub on the yard where you can purchase drinks and snacks, and he can help arrange tours to the local sites if you don't already have something planned with another company. Overall a fantastic find that our entire family enjoyed thoroughly.
