The manager Robert ensured our whole time there we had everything we needed. Its close to the main strip and easy to find. They never had my reservation even though I booked it awhile back. The room smelled like cigarettes and the AC stopped working randomly at night and the room was so hot! There was so many bugs everywhere. The staff was trying to figure out what was going on but they don’t have an actual receptionist or front desk person to assist you at all. Very weird stay. Don’t recommend if you have kids. Pool party was going on and the people were doing drugs. Some customers walked out after sitting down to eat and seeing that. The staff said they understood, apologised, and said I needed to request a refund via hotels.com. I asked for confirmation from them either via email or via their WhatsApp phone number to acknowledge that I am indeed checking out and that they agree to the refund. They apparently do not have a check-out process or system and they said giving confirmation via one of their branded channels was not possible as the owner was not currently present and only the owner has access to these channels. They assured me this would be taken care of and that I shouldn’t worry. I insisted on needing something from the hotel before leaving however 3 different employees told me nothing could be done. At this point an hour has passed and I left to go check into the new hotel I booked- Hotel Diria, which is a fantastic establishment and where I recommend you stay if you are in need of accommodation in Tamarindo! Hotel Review. There was no hotel staff. We could not find anyone to check in with. No one ever checked us in. The cleaning staff gave us a key after an hour. Very weird situation. We had to get the maintenance crew to move us from the first room because of an Air conditioner leak flooding the floor. After we moved to another room we received an email that said we could not stay at the hotel. rooms just have a bed. No towel racks and the showers don't drain.
