"The Van Buren Hotel was so cute and folksy. It is far enough from the center of town to miss all the traffic but close enough to get in and out easily. The staff was great! What sets this hotel apart from many others is the room and amenities inside. It was so clean and there is a wooden luggage rack, which was truly helpful. The room was also sizable. Breakfast was good. My only negative is that you could hear what was going on in the hallway, from time to time. Regardless, we loved our stay and hope to do so again the next time we are in Shipshewana!"

"Everything was great. Only complaint I had was they were renovating and had to walk past many rooms that were being renovated to get to our room which was way down a long hall and I have back problems and trouble walking. Probably a 10 minute walk from car to lobby to elevator to room. Wish I would have brought my mobility scooter."

"We attended a concert in nearby Shipshewana IN, and looked for a more budget friendly hotel than those offered in Shipshewana. Reviews indicated this Best Western was a good choice - and it was! The room was clean and quiet, the staff was friendly, and the Continental breakfast was good (4 kinds of dry cereal, a waffle maker, instant oatmeal, fresh fruit, and 2 kinds of bottled juice). At $40 cheaper than the Shipshewana hotels, it was a no brainer. We'll stay here again!"

"Everything was great with the exception of food and drink options. Drove 35 min away and had good dinner and drinks. Kind of my fault because I checked in on a Sunday. So the resturaunt and bar were closed at 4p on Sunday and all day Monday. Was a little dissapointed that I wasnt provided with info about breakfast at check in. I wouldve paid $10 and ordered, if I knew about it prior to 10am. Also. Booked a lake view room. It was partial view. Wouldve been nice to have full view being its off season. Nonetheless. Beautiful property. Friendly staff. Plan to stay again when its warm outside. "

"It was a rocky start. We checked in pretty late and the hotel manager was having a hard time figuring out the payment issues Hotels.com was having with their hotel. Apparently, they couldnt process the payment so we were almost charged again for the room. She did recover and just gave us the keys and told us theyd figure it out later. The room was nice but the mattress was very uncomfortable. It also squeaked on any movement. We ask to have it replaced or a bed topper put on to no avail. Shower was great. Just hard to sleep."
