I booked it and everything and it was not there when we got there me and my husband and 5 kids had to sleep in the car that night it was completely awful never ever again
This motel is being demolished! How the hell could you have done this booking? I don't care about my review, because the place no longer exists! Can't you people understand a simple thing like the Roadside Inn 1725 hywy 17 Surfside USA no longer exists? LARRY
Had reservations for October 6th since January got there and they've been closed down for months,got a reminder about our stay but didn't say they've been shut down very disappointing
Despite the shooting it was just a run down old motel. They are efficiencies so if you are looking for a cheap long beach place to stay it wouldn't be too bad.

Nightmare room
Dirty floors, hair dryer was not working. No coffee pot! Television barely able to watch. Ice machine nasty with black chips in the ice. No mat in bathtub oranykind of rails to trap on(.Dangerous)

Based on previous reviews we were anticipating the worst but were pleasantly surprised. Its by far not a 5 star hotel and we knew that. Everything worked just fine. Room was clean and cool and the area was quiet. Oh, we could not connect to Wi-Fi and the tv would not turn on but we didnt come to MB to stay in a hotel room so those small things didn't matter. Would stay again.

The room was dirty, stains on carpet, toenails on the carpet, my bed did not have a flat sheet, got stuck in the bathroom, had to mess with the handle to open the door to my room, graffiti in the elevator, no ice machine.

prior smoking smell in room.sink backing up.(iptv)not working.baseboard in need of repair.air conditionning was terribly noisy.over all the room stank very badly.this has been the most horribled room i ever slept in. i was very happy to get out of there fast!!!!!

The room did not look clean, had a smell or odor, less desirable. Had to purchase cleaning wipes and desinfectante, also the beds sheets did not seem clean

Thank you for letting us know You have reservation for two people, smoking room and we changed to non-smoking as per your request and you had extra person.
Called ahead to inform them I was arriving late, he said "ok" and hung up. When I arrived, the office was closed and I called the phone number obviously waking him up. He told me to meet him at the side door and when he did come to the door he made it clear to me that I was bothering him. The room was $180 being as it was a holiday weekend I did it. I had low expectations but the room stunk the walls were stained from cigarettes there was even an ashtray on the bedside table. The bed spreads were so old and filthy and smelled then I pulled them off the bed and used a blanket from the trunk of my car. The lock on the door was not secure, and I used a filthy chair to block the door. My feet were clean when I walked into the room and just from walking to the bathroom barefoot it looks like I had been barefoot at a truck stop. Frankly I'm surprised this hotel charges more than $20 a night. They were also plastic covers on the mattress and the air conditioning barely worked. When I pulled up it looked like it should be condemned

We sorry you were not happy Room had new plate form beds and brand new Mattress. Check in time is 4PM to 11PM.
The rooms were extremely dirty, there was dust everywhere and cobwebs in almost every corner.
There was mold in the shower and the wood trim was scratched horribly apparently from some type of dog. It said it was non-smoking but it had definitely been smoked in. I’m 5 foot 10 and my feet were hanging off the bed. I think the only thing that was cleaned was hopefully the towels and maybe the sheets. Definitely very disappointing especially for the price they charged.
The staff was nice enough.

Property was much cleaner than expected. However, staff was not so nice. Pool had a set of rules and times, yet management kept running people out of it. Sad how poorly customer service has became in the hotel industry.
The place was a dump!!! Bathroom counter wasn't cleaned properly. Nats in the tub. TV remote didn't work. Room was awful, even if it was last minute and at a cheap price.

Manager was yelling profanity &police on the scene
As soon as we arrived to the hotel the manager and a customer was yelling at one another in the parking lot because the customer Hughes the hotel of charging extra fees and having bedbugs I immediately wanted to cancel my reservation but they would not give me a refund… I wanted to cancel because of the altercation in the parking lot I did not think it was professional for the manager gentleman to be yelling at a customer using profanity at one another then the police arrived the whole time it was a very uncomfortable situation we stayed our one night try to stay away from the hotel as much as possible since I cannot get a refund we could not go somewhere else to stay very bad experience do not recommend this hotel poor management

There’s blood on the wall in the rooms, smells like marijuana, fridge was not clean, oven is disgusting, holes in the wall and ceiling, front desk was rude, and outlets do not work.

It is not blood somebody dropped coffee and it is spots.
Spent $200 for one night. Wasn’t allowed to check in till 4pm. Called for early check in, guy wouldn’t answer any of my questions or confirm my reservation. Place was very dirty and smelled like a cigarette butt.

This hotel does not clean per cdc guidelines as advertised. The toilet had feces all over the underseat & under the rim! The mirror on the door was disgusting. After walking on the carpet after my shower my feet were black! Very dirty!
Pool was closed my bathroom had pee on the floor and also it was dirty the toilet seat the water faucet had toothpaste on it they were hairs all over the bathtub

Pool is opened from 9 am to 9pm everyday. You should notified to manager same time .
After paying for the room on Expedia, had to pay again to check in. Bathroom wasn't clean, hair and shampoo on walls. Not vacuumed, a lot of dirt on tiles.

Lady at check-in was rude...The pool is not open due to covid...Wasn't allowed to touch light switches in the room. The microwave was not operable. Tried to upsell us a different room after the website said only 4 rooms available. No security lock on the door. Toilet was loose.
It looked like the bedding and refrigerator were clean.
DO NOT STAY HERE!! SLEEP IN YOUR CAR AT WALMART! The property is filthy. The room reek of cigarette smoke to the point that when I woke up, my clothes and hair smelled like I smoked a pack. The furniture, tub, sink all have cigarette burns on them. The parking lot is dirty and the guy that checked us in was irritated he had to put his smoke out and come inside to give us our keys. No hello, thank you, didn't even direct us to where our rooms were. Best thing for this property would be if it went out of business and someone else bought it. DO NOT STAY HERE! negative 5 stars

This property is for people who are not picky, just need a place to crash. Pluses: full size fridges and 2 cooktop burners! Mw of course. Seriously overdue for a renovation, but they do make a solid effort for cleanlines. No mold or rust. The spring beds seemed super sketchy when I sat on them, but I slept amazingly well. Fun quirk: they don't use regular housekeeping carts... they use shopping carts, like from a grocery store.

This was a nice place for a last minute booking. It is NOT a 5 star hotel but it was not a bad place to stay if you are looking for a place to sleep and bath before hitting surfsidw beach or playing a round.
The staff was very nice and funny. I would recommend it to anyone
