The home has all the space you need including an inverted floor plan with over 5,000 square feet, 8 bedrooms, 9.5 baths, elevator, multiple oversized wraparound decks, and amazing one-of-a-kind ocean and inlet views. Bordering the property is a 24-acre natural preserve -- a truly exclusive surrounding. This resort property includes updated furniture, bedding (bed linens included), appliances, and décor. Renovated game room including ping pong table and pool table, in house double laundry with 2 new washer/dryer stacked units, new flooring on middle floor, new interior painting throughout, artificial turf installed in back yard including 3-hole putting green. This truly creates an incredible outdoor space for all to enjoy. This large family-friendly and immaculate home boasts an inverted floor plan that includes a gourmet kitchen, large living room, two dining areas and two master bedrooms on the top floor. Both master bedrooms are spacious and have ocean and intracoastal waterway views and large en suite bathrooms. The kitchen has custom granite countertops, tile backsplash, new appliances, built-in commercial refrigerator double ovens, and is well-stocked with every gadget, small appliance, and utensil needed to prepare large meals or accommodate take-out from any of the many restaurants on the island. The living room includes new furniture with a large flat-screen tv, panoramic ocean views, bar area with a built-in ice maker and wine refrigerator that spills over to a large covered veranda. The second floor includes 6 bedrooms each with their own attached bathroom. A second living room with a large TV and pull out sleeper sofa is a perfect hangout space for children or adults. The utility room on this floor includes a front-load washer and dryer, and laundry/utility sink. The ground floor includes a two-car garage and game room complete with pool table, ping pong table, and a secondary full-size refrigerator for additional cold food and beverage storage. The game room leads directly out to the expansive pool deck and is the perfect entertainment space. The 3/4 acre grounds include lush landscaping, over 70 enormous palm trees, fenced yard, and a backyard oasis with a large deck perfect for lounging by the saltwater pool and hot tub, grilling dinner or enjoying the afternoon sun and warm night breeze. The pool house includes a full bath -- a great convenience for coming off the beach. The panoramic views from any of the 6 porches are unlike any views of the ocean and intracoastal waterways on the island. Walk along the lighted catwalk down to the beach which is very secluded; or enjoy the beachfront gazebo. The house is one of the last properties on the west end of the island and is extremely private and quiet. We do not offer weddings or other special events at the property. Holden Beach is a quiet, family-friendly beach recognized as a top beach by USA Today and a top-10 beach by National Geographic Traveler’s Magazine. There are no hotels or high-rise complexes, just family owned cottages. Holden Beach is part of the barrier island chain in southeastern NC and is also located approximately 35 miles from Wilmington, NC and Myrtle Beach, SC -- making trips for shopping, eating and entertaining very convenient. Holden Beach is also well-situated for 30 area golf courses. We love our “home away from home,” and our family has spent many years enjoying all that Holden has to offer. The beach is a expansive and very private, great for shell-finding. The walk to the beach is long, especially for an oceanfront property, but we expected that based on the photos. It is perfect for our family group of 19+ (ages 5-73). Love this section of the island where there are no crowds. Family rotated time btwn the beach, pool and hot tub every day. Love the reverse floor plan with living area on the top floor. Kitchen well stocked. Great living areas. There was more than enough room that we didn’t feel like we were on top of each other. We cooked in all week and enjoyed all the space with two tables. The younger group went downstairs where the pool table and ping pong table were and thoroughly enjoyed themselves. Having a bathroom and shower by the pool made it very convenient. House is comfortable and spacious and one never feels crowded. Owners have done an excellent job decorating and making the house a "home" for your stay. There were 5 families and we all comfortable fit with perfect accommodations. Some of our favorite things about the house and beach were: oversized tables for family meals, fully equipped kitchen, comfortable beds, large pool, oceanfront decks, elevator for transporting food and grandparents, shell hunting on the beach, private beach, turtle egg discovery, gazebo that teens used to hang 3 enos, ping pong, ice maker, fishing from the shore and oh so much more. It truly was a pleasure to rent from these great families and I can only hope that we get to come back again one day soon. We LOVED everything about it! All of our children, their spouses and our grandchildren joined us there. The property is spacious and very well equipped. The elevator was truly amazing both upon arrival and departure. It was also much easier for my husband and I to join the activities with our children rather than using the stairs. The pool, the hot tub, and the beach were enjoyed by all! The property is beautiful inside and out. The porches gave us a wonderful view of the ocean from sunrise to sunset. Our grandchildren enjoyed the ping ping table and the pool table on the ground level, as well as cornhole. It was a wonderful place to gather for a family vacation! ##### Barbara N. This was the first time we have vacationed in Holden Beach. 72 Palms was the perfect trip for our vacation. We had 5 families all staying together and it worked out amazing. I was worried that the walk from the house to the ocean was a little far based on the pictures but it is closer then it looks. The house is decorated awesome. The kids in the group loved playing with the pool table and the ping pong table. The pool and hot tub were constantly used. The second refrigerator in the garage is very helpful. The house had everything we needed for our trip. We made dinner most evenings and the kitchen was stocked! The most amazing part of the house is the view from the kitchen table. Our large family got to spend the 4th of July week together in this beautiful home and I cannot say enough about how enjoyable and spacious this home is! We have never stayed in a beach front home where we all had a seat at the table for dinner and nobody felt crowded anywhere in the house! This house is very clean and well furnished and would be enjoyable for any size family, but for a large group of 20-25 people, it is perfect and there is still plenty of room and seats for everyone. Even the covered porches had plenty of rocking chairs, chaise lounges, and nice cushioned wicker furniture. The Palm trees and unique exterior of the house make it feel more like a tropical paradise. All of the beds were new and very comfortable! Having the elevator for getting food/luggage upstairs was really a nice bonus! I have stayed at numerous ocean front homes at Holden over the last 30 years, and this one is by far the nicest. The owners were very quick to respond to our initial request to rent the home and the entire process was very smooth with no issues. We had a couple of minor issues while we were there, and the owners responded to my text within hours, not to mention the nice gift bag of goodies left for us upon our arrival. This was our second time staying in this house over a 4 yr period. The house is beautiful and the layout is perfect for a large family gathering. The rooms from the many balconies all around the house are beautiful from the ocean to the sound. The beach is very private and the tide pools make for exceptional photos at sunset. The beds were very comfortable and the kitchen well supplied and perfect for large gatherings. The only negatives we had were the cleanliness of the place. Like everywhere you go these days it is hard to find workers and the place was pretty dirty upon arrival. Even the beds weren't changed in some of the rooms and sand and hair were in beds. Luckily we had extra sheets to remedy this. The house did have some wear and tear over the years but nothing to distract from the fabulous time we all had. Management was also very responsive to any issues we had. Would highly recommend this house just be aware you may have some cleaning to do upon arrival. ##### Michelle W.
