This property is a little bit run down. Staff was not that friendly. There are dining options within a mile from the hotel, which is convenient. The room was comfortable but it was on the 4th floor and the elevator didn’t always work!

The outside had old decomposed construction debris in the parking lot. The outside side door wasn’t locked and anyone could sneak in.

I've traveled to Summersville a number of times to visit my mom and this is the first time I've stayed at the La Quinta. In my experience the best hotel in the area, and the staff is extremely kind and attentive. This is my go-to place to stay for future visits.

I’ve stayed at this location several times. It is by far the best La Quinta property that I’ve ever been to. Credit to the staff for making every aspect of the stay including the breakfast the best possible. I will look forward to staying there again, and will highly recommend it to others that may be staying in the area.

This hotel was average. Fitness centre was so uncomfortably hot it could not be used and hotel had a unique unpleasant odour in the hallways, and in the elevator. Thankfully the room did not smell this way.

Shelley at the front desk was lovely! Easy check in. The property itself needs some love (ie/ carpets, curtains…). Overall nice and quiet.

Commercial atea with many eating options. Als9, Walmart, and numerous service stations make it convenient to travelers. Updated rooms and bathrooms. Thermostat on wall by bed made it easy to adjust room temp.

Honestly, just needed somewhere to stay that was pet friendly for the night. Shelly was very nice and easy to work with during check in. We had a quiet room on the second floor. We skipped breakfast because we needed to hit the road but it looked good. I did grab a cup of coffee which was good. Wendy was nice at check out. Overall, pleasant stay for the night.

I stayed here for one night. The property and cleanliness of the room were fine. The hotel was also in a great location close to the highway. However, the main reason I chose this hotel was because it had a hot tub. When I arrived I was told the hot tub was not working and they are waiting to get it fixed. The next morning when I went to get breakfast the breakfast attendant was very rude because I arrived 5 minutes before they were shutting it down. If you plan on getting breakfast make sure you get there before 9. I was told the previous day that breakfast was served until 10 so I had no idea it was almost over. The attendant was very snippy and mad that I wanted breakfast when she was trying to clean up. She definitely needs some training on how to work with the public. The breakfast was bottom of the barrel and I ended up going somewhere else.

The drapes were stationary and could therefore not be closed to prevent the parking lot lights from streaming in all night. While the location is convenient the road noise is very loud. Again, insulated drapes that can be closed would have made a significant difference.

We had a lovely room on the 4th floor; so it was quiet above. The layout of the room gave us plenty of space, yet felt cozy for two. The bathroom was spacious. The area outside the hotel needs to be paved, as potholes were plentiful!

Terrible place to stay, The hall carpets were dirty, and we weren't even on a pet-allowed floor. Adjacent road noise was extremely loud. AC unit even louder, sounding like an aircraft taking off when it came on. No adjustment available to a lower fan setting to reduce noise. Shower ran/dripped water all night as it could not be completely turned off. The pool was closed for maintenance but that fact was not disclosed when our booking made. So much for expecting a nice swim after a long day on the road! Staff generally surly but the breakfast lady was nice and the breakfast was excellent. Never again La Quinta Summersville!

This property is not well kept. Dirty and area around is full of weeds. No place to walk a dog unless it is half mountain goat. Pool was out of commision but staff didnt know when it would be repaired. Didn't have breakfast.
