"There was plenty room to park and the staff were welcoming and polite. Having booked a superior room we were disappointed that we had been allocated an attic bedroom with a small very window. Although the room itself was quite large the plaster and paint work was in need of some restoration. With regards to breakfast, it was ‘over complicated’ it would have been much easier to have a menu and then choose what you want at the table. "We stayed one night as a stopover on our way home to Scotland. We had a superior double room in the lodge part of the hotel. Stunning room. Very spacious even with what looked like a super king bed. Lovely to have the little terrace space. Had a delicious meal in the restaurant and excellent breakfast in the morning. And we could do parkrun with plenty of time to get back before checkout & eat breakfast. Would love to return."
