Owner friendly and informed about Stratford Festival while not pushing his views. Convenient coffee maker. Comfortable room. I would stay here again.

We liked that the ceilings were very high. It made our room feel very spacious and airy. We also liked that we backed on to a cornfield. It added to the feel that we were in the country and created a buffer for any noise coming from the road. We also like that the room was very clean. It was unfortunate that the location was not within walking distance to the theatres. However, it was very convenient to be off Ontario Street and drive anywhere.

Great place
We stayed one night while taking in a show at Stratford Festival. The motel was clean, roomy. Owners were very welcoming. Very nice grounds where we sat under the shade trees reading for a bit. Would stay again if in the area.

We only stayed one night to attend a 70th birthday party, and found this motel perfect for our needs. Owner was friendly and accomodating. Room was clean and comfortable.

It is somewhat far from the theatre district and is into the countryside but there are eating places within driving distance and all in all it’s not a long drive into town.

The motel was clean and quiet. Owners were very friendly.. Motel is only 5 minutes from downtown . Only problem was odour from farm fields outdoors, which did not enter the room. This seems to be a problem for the wider area. It just depends on when you are there. We stayed here once before and there was no odour then.

Thanks David.Part of Stratford being in the heart of Ontario's agricultural breadbasket is the periodic "country air" that wafts through the city and the entire county. Not always pleasant....but a small price to pay for living in such a beautiful part of the province and city!

This is a very traditional "long lived" motel but it has been well maintained. It is about a 10 minute drive to central Stratford and the theaters.

The Suburban is a little gem in Stratford. It suited our needs perfectly and it was wonderful to have the outdoor pool. The air conditioning works well but the room remains quite humid so things don't dry easily. The mattress and pillows were awesome - we both slept SO well. It was great.
