A 1/4-mile wooded driveway leads to this charming retreat, where you can relax on the porch swing or take a nap in the hammock while watching deer and turkey. Filled with games and books, this cabin is perfect for those rainy days. Located just 2 miles from the Quemahoning Reservoir, you'll be minutes away from fishing, mountain biking, kayaking, and paddleboarding. The Laurel Highlands area offers plenty of outdoor adventures, including visits to the Flight 93 Memorial and nearby state parks. You're also just a short drive from Laurel Mountain Ski Resort, Seven Springs, and Hidden Valley. Please note, this cabin is rustic and has been updated with modern amenities, but does not have a TV or WiFi. There is cell service, but we encourage you to disconnect and immerse yourself in nature during your stay. The loft area is off limits to guests and the spiral staircase leading up to it is not to be used. The driveway is dirt and gravel and requires an AWD or 4x4 vehicle during the winter months. Drive slowly and enjoy the scenic journey up the small gravel hill to the cabin. The listing is entirely accurate. The location is beautiful; the people of Stoystown are very nice. There's a Walmart 15 min away, too, as well as a Bar/Restaurant up the street. There is no wifi or service/reception at all in the cabin. You'll have to go up the street to make calls, where the stop sign is. Beautifully kept cabin at a great price in a beautiful area! The bedroom had a queen bed and a twin bed. Speaking of beds, the beds were so comfy, and I slept so peacefully.The view from the top of the hill behind the cabin was incredible, too. This was such a lovely stay- VERY isolated as advertised and the CLEANEST place I’ve ever rented on a site like this. It was immaculate! It was the perfect place to return to and unwind after a long day of activities. The property is peaceful, very clean and well equipped. Communication with the host was excellent. I needed an escape from life's daily intrusions and interruptions and this place did not disappoint. Definitely need 4WD or all wheel drive to get up the driveway in the winter months.
