  • Welcome to The Williams Shop Guest Cabin, a thoughtfully crafted 280-sq-ft cabin designed for simple, relaxed getaways. Nestled among mature trees and just a short walk to Thunder Bay, this peaceful cabin offers a calm retreat for couples, solo travellers, or anyone seeking a quiet place to recharge.

    The Space

    The cabin combines warm, well-designed simplicity with everything you need for a comfortable stay. The efficient layout provides a cozy living area, fully equipped kitchenette, and a comfortable sleeping space. Furnished with care and surrounded by gardens and forest, it’s an inviting base for exploring the area or for simply slowing down.

    Step outside into your private yard, complete with Adirondack chairs, a propane fire pit, and a covered outdoor dining area. Whether you’re sipping coffee in the morning or unwinding in the evening, the space is designed to help you settle in and breathe a little easier.

    Located on the edge of our property, the cabin is just a quick 2-minute walk to Thunder Bay Beach and a short drive to Canoe Bay, Stillwater Bluffs, and countless outdoor trails. The Sunshine Coast Trail is moments away, making the cabin a welcoming start or stopover for hikers.

    The cabin sits 10 minutes from the Saltery Bay Ferry Terminal and 25 minutes from downtown Powell River — close enough for convenience, yet tucked away for quiet.

Had all you needed. Very comfy, cozy. 5 min to beach. Quick response from host if needed. Good for two! A little out of town 20 min, but great for exploring the whole strech of Powell River.

Quaint Hideaway

Our quaint little accommodations met all of our needs. The location was in a pretty forest & all the comforts we needed. We come to Powell River a couple times a year to visit family & we would love to stay again in the warmer months. Lots of nice little touches in our room & I would have given 5 stars instead of 4 except there was a lot of cobwebs that I think are just common in the winter months & sometimes difficult to see in certain light while cleaning. Overall a lovely little place.

Small but Sweer

I stayed at Melanie's place for a week with two friends. We are good friends. So this small place worked well for us. We ate our meals on the porch and enjoy the peace and quiet of the Woods. The beach is a 5-minute walk, which is phone to explore. Melanie has made the place very comfortable, and she has stalked the kitchen well. Great towels for the bathroom. And far from any traffic. That's what we were looking for. A good spot to explore the area.

Our stay in the tiny home was enjoyable. Kitchen facilities were well equipped and the rest of the amenities met our expectations. It was a bonus having the fans for air movement, as it was quite warm in the house during our stay. A short walk to the ocean was nice. The surroundings were lovely and the area was quiet.

The place described in the online listing was accurate. We loved the house features i.e. rustic, creative yet industrial and functional. Great place to stay! Melanie is an awesome host. She responded to our queries very quickly.

Bbq was full of mould and out of propane, cob webs hanging everywhere, would have been great to have more hooks to hang things. Floor was way out of level and steps were really slippery. Location was great and quiet and hosts were accommodating for my extra night.

The grass was a foot long which made it very difficult to collect the dog remains. No propane bottle for the fire pit, No candles , musty smelling bedding, no cream for coffee in the morning and no netflix. way overpriced for what was delivered.

We were so happy with our stay in the tiny home. Yes it is tiny but the layout is set up perfectly and makes the home feel bigger than it is. Our only regret is only being available for 1 night. Being close to the Saltery Bay ferry is a huge plus as well. The host Melanie is very attentive and helpful. The area put out a boil water advisory, and Melanie immediately dropped off clean drinking water to ensure we were still comfortable. I did feel bad as the checkout time on VRBO is set at 11am, but it was 10am when I noticed the guidebook in the room says checkout is 9am. I wonder if that could be cleared up between the host and guest in future stays so that guests know to be out by a certain time.

We had a great stay here. The best part was definitely the location, the beach is incredibly close and easy to access, which made it perfect for a relaxing weekend. The space itself is unique and worked well for our short stay. Communication was smooth and check-in was straightforward. Overall, we enjoyed our time and appreciated the opportunity to stay.
