Close to Athens Ohio. You’ll love my place because of the views, the peace, the fishing, the relaxation. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers, and families (with kids). My place is also part of the Windy 9 for the Motorcycle enthusiasts or those who just want to enjoy some scenic rides through the countryside.

The downstairs bedroom has a queen size bed and there are three additional beds in the loft upstairs. This is a cozy little place to relax and enjoy the peace and relaxation.

Please note this is a cabin in the country. We try very hard to keep everything fresh. clean and comfortable. You will experience a country setting which includes often (not promised) seeing wildlife. We also have other country aspects. This is a small cabin in the country and bugs do get into the cabin at times. If this is an issue for you please ask about them before booking. We work very hard to minimize this issue but at certain times of the year they can be a nuisance. If you are looking for a pristine place to go this may not be the option for you. If you are looking for a super relaxing cabin and place to escape we feel this is an excellent option. We would love to have you as guests but want to make sure you are comfortable. Please don't hesitate to ask questions. We will answer as honest and accurate as possible. We want you to enjoy the trip you are planning and have a wonderful time whether it is with open season or elsewhere.

This is a no frills cabin (except for the hot tub :) as reflected in the price. This means you will need to bring things like hand soap, all personal items, towels for the hot tub...etc. One bath towel and wash cloth is provided for each guest. If you want extra please bring some with you.

Lake Dow is a short 15 minute drive. Lake has kayaks, paddleboat, Pontoon boats, a beach, picnic area, fishing and more to enjoy.

We loved the property! The cabin was wonderful! The trip to the cabin was a little rough with a 2 wheel drive vehicle but just because it had rain a lot prior! Once there we enjoyed our stay more than anything! We relaxed which is just what we needed! We loved the hot tub! The view off the back deck was breathtaking! The whole property was gorgeous!! The booking site never sent our code to get in but I called Mark & he was so helpful & courteous! We enjoyed the decor & the pictures throughout the cabin! This was a birthday gift to my husband & was exactly what we needed! Peace quiet & relaxation!

This was a relaxing getaway cabin, the host gave detailed instructions for checking in and their house rules. The hot tub and grill were amazing, plenty of kitchen equipment and supplies. We only needed one bed for our stay, which was good because the 3 beds upstairs had ladybugs all over them, which is understandable for a cabin the in late Winter. The pond was easy to access and we liked how there were movies available to watch!

Had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Very accurate description about the bugs- lots of the Asian lady beetles, but there was a vacuum and broom to keep up with them. Mark was very helpful with directions- there was flooding in surrounding areas, and he was patient while giving me good directions. Very responsive to messages.

It was inexpensive and I guess you get what you pay for. Couldnt get into the driveway with amount of snow with no shovel, room upstairs was nothing like pictures with unmade bed and dirty with lots of bugs, no welcoming book with instructions for TV, lack of toilet paper and paper towels (we had to run into to town to pick up). Seems like "hey thanks for the payment... you are on your own". Nothing major but have had better experiences.

I was looking for a last minute escape and wandered upon this gem, in the middle of nowhere. I knew there was a massive storm coming but had time to get away and time to wait out getting back to reality. I extended my stay by 3 nights…as the weather rolled in and temps dropped, I was in communication with the host Mark, and he was wonderful in letting me stay 2 days longer, then another. Wonderful people, cozy cabin, peaceful surroundings:) I had an absolutely amazing time in complete solitude
Everyday I was here, I sat in the hot tub to watch the sunset, love this place!

Mark, the host was very nice. Anytime I had a question, he always answered me within 24 hrs. The cabin had everything we needed for our stay. This cabin is located in the middle of nowhere. Very peaceful and quiet. The view was beautiful off of the back deck. It overlooked the pond and woods. I would definitely recommend this cabin if you want to get away and relax. We will be back.

This cabin was excellent! It was accurately describe. Actually, it was better. It was clean and cozy. The view on the back porch was great and we had some really relaxing mornings with our books and coffee. We had our dogs with us and they loved to run around the pond. At night it gets so dark with absolutely no light pollution so you can see the stars perfectly. We hope to be able to come back next year and enjoy another relaxing weekend. This was the best getaway from our busy lives.

Beautiful house. Very comfortable. The only issue was there needed to be some sort of umbrella for the back deck or covering for shade. Couldn't enjoy it as much as wanted. Way to hot with the sun on it all day with no shade. It was a beatiful property and everything was very clean and welcoming. We would recommend it.

Nice getaway

Mark was very communicative about any concerns and everything was clean. I would highly recommend it as a country getaway. We packed some lunches and fished for hours down by the pond. Grilled some great meals, enjoyed the jacuzzi, and had some nice fires under the stars.
