Station Square Tours and Activities

front desk staff helpful at check in, but refused my request for housekeeping on second day, insisted they only housekeep every 3 days!! not even coffee packet refills. I had to insist on change of linens (because of an accident), told we’d have to make it ourselves (housekeeping did end up making the bed). The bathroom door was a sliding barn style door that was so hard to move, didn’t block sound, and squeaked so loudly it would wake the dead. TV had no streaming options and no movies on demand, some channels didn’t even tune in. Nice view of the river, good restaurant options nearby, but downtown reeked of pot and some dicey blocks. Valet-only parking was pricy but efficient. Tiny travel shampoo, conditioner and body wash bottles, when most other hotels have moved to pump bottles in the shower. couldn’t even get any of the conditioner out of the bottle it was no viscous and bottle would squeeze it out. useless. They did provide more towels when requested, but there’s no place to hang them but one. No fan in the bathroom (passive ventilation), which worked fine for steam but provides no privacy. The Ft. Pitt park is across the street and is a nice place to walk in the morning, access to running paths along the river I think.

Very understaffed for a very busy weekend in Pittsburgh as we were reminded by staff members numerous times! We arrived on a Friday & spent all day Saturday moving my granddaughter into college only to return exhausted to our uncleared room! No towels, etc. Very frustrating especially after I had gone back to the hotel to get something at 3 pm & checked with front desk to see if our room would be refreshed! Valet parking was a nightmare as not enough workers! We felt bad for them!!! And valet is the only choice if you need to have in & out privileges! Breakfast in the restaurant had good food but only 2 waitresses who were very unhappy as they rudely told guests “there are only two of us”. Beds were very small double beds! Will not stay there again as we return to Pittsburgh for many visits over the next few years!

I cannot stress enough how much I enjoyed my stay here Shayla, went above and beyond to make sure my stay was the best it could possibly be!! The staff was great all around to!!
