Million dollar view
We enjoyed our weeks stay. We would welcome staying again because of the location and the view.. The unit itself was outdated.. needs new king mattress and pillows and window blinds, among other things. The outdoor deck railings need replacing. Upon arriving, found a dead rat in the middle of the garage. In the kitchen, a live palmetto bug and tiny ants.

The house is rundown
The location of this house is great. Other than that I would not recommend staying here. When we checked in we found something smeared on the wall and on the comforter in one of the bedrooms. Neither of the bathrooms were cleaned it had garbage and clumps of hair on the wall and in the drains. We did get ahold of the rental agency and they had people come out to clean those things. The house needs to have a lot of updates done to it because it is run down. Both showers have black mold growing in the grout. We also found black mold in the vent in the bedroom with the queen size bed. We also found a cockroach in the kitchen. I do have a picture of the cockroach and wish this allowed for me to upload pictures because I would upload it so everyone knew we weren't lying. We told the cleaning staff of our discovery and they told us that it's just something you have to do with when you're in Florida. I've been travelling to Florida my entire life and I have never had a space had bugs in them.

Perfect Beach Getaway
The location of this property is amazing, you’re right on the beach. You’re able to sit in the shaded porch and see the kids playing in the sand and the ocean. Overall it was a good experience but as other reviews stated, I’m not sure if we would stay here again. The problem is you don’t know what you’ll get with the townhome next to the property which you have to share the pool with. Unfortunately the people that rented the other property checked in the same day we did and they were drinking a lot and had their music loud and were in the pool area and inside the pool drinking (3 men and 1 woman) we had 3 girls and a little boy and didn’t feel comfortable letting them get in the pool while the neighbors were outside, so we couldn’t use the pool but enjoyed the beach a lot. The layout is a little odd and there is not much privacy if you have 2 families sharing the place, but that wasn’t an issue for us. The beds were super comfortable and the furniture around the property was nice. I wouldn’t count sleeping on the sofa bed, because it’s old and very uncomfortable. But we did have a great time and we walked to Caddy’s, a restaurant on the beach, so that was fun too.

Proximity to the beach is fabulous
We felt like the property itself was a little off from the pictures. It is small and a bit awkward layout. The only beach chairs (that were supposed to be in the garage to carry to the beach)were damaged and unusable so we had to buy our own. The pool was very sandy and used a lot by the other family in the duplex so we didn't use it much. The Very very best part was the view and easy access to the beach. It is literally right out the door and we absolutely loved that and the views. The sunsets were amazing!!

Treasure Island Stay
Overall our stay was great due to location of the property but there were plenty of problems. Property Manager doe not seem to be familiar with the property. I asked about beach chairs/towels before heading to the beach and was told they were not provided. As a result I packed chairs and towels only to find they were on site. Very irritating considering chairs take a lot of room in a car. The hide a bed is basically unusable as when deployed it blocks access to a bathroom. When you plan for eight places to sleep and find out two of those spaces are not available it is very annoying. Pool requires daily maintenance to be useable. Maintenance is handled by the renters not the property manager. BBQ grill was a safety hazard. It was missing a couple of bolts so that it was very dangerous to move. It was replaced with a new grill the day we departed but that did not help me. Shower in master bath had to be repaired (by me) to be useable.

Quirky beach house with an ideal location
We loved the location of this place. The house setup is kinda strange and wouldn't have a lot of privacy for multiple families, but it worked great for our girls' weekend.

Best Vacation Ever!!
My family and I loved this property. There was plenty of space for everyone. Furniture and beds were comfortable. The best part was that it was just steps to the beach. Pool was an added pleasure.

BEACH A.....POOL F....CLEANLINESS INSIDE D OUTSIDE F. Wouldn't rent again
Arrived at 330 for 3pm check in.. unit wasn't ready,, told us be back 45 mins they should have taken 2 hours to clean the house. House is now blue (fyi) there are 3 holes in the floor, one above the spiral stairs and another by the 1st bedroom & 2nd one. Blinds missing slats in 1st br and closet. 2nd br closets no drawers. Top floor dresser smells like mildew. Pool liner is aged and the pool was filled with sand and pine needles. Pool equipment is circa 1990. Pool latches are rusty and iffy to stay closed. Apparently owners think once a week cleaning is acceptable, it's not. Soda cans band aids and candy found in bedrooms. Trash around the house. Kitchen was in disarray and had to wash everything before use. No sponge no dw soap no brush no dish towels. Only 3 wine glasses. No beach towels ( don't provide) and outside shower has no pull string. Garage was a mess. More trash rusted chairs crappy umbrella and deserted beach pails. Garage doors all have issues. The yard has not been tended to in months. Overgrown. Needles just piled under the deck. If you are traveling with children under 7, its not the best house for you. It's a split house and you have no control over who's sharing the pool area. They may not latch gates due to rusting. If you are a bigger person or bad knees, the house will be a struggle. This was my 8th trip to TI and love the area. The group in unit 1 had AC issues fridge issues and a small fire. I would rather rent a house then this mess that was split into two townhouses.

Loved the location. Not too touristy. Beach not too busy. If you get some chairs from the garage and put them out early, others will put theirs elsewhere and maintain your view of the beach. Be careful at the top of the spiral stairs as the sub-floor is caving in. Other than that - great stay.

Location location location!
We went down for a girls trip with the golden girls and the location was outstanding! Right off the patio to the sand it was amazing! The Town house needed a few updates for sure, the layout was very odd and there’s no pravicy there is one room Secluded and everything is upstairs so if u have kids or older people it’s not a great kid friendly place there needs to be some rails for stairs going up and there’s no bathroom at the very top so u have to come down stairs in the middle of the night little scary! But over all I would stay here again because we were so close to the ocean and the water! The pool is always cold and dirty cause there’s pine trees all around so that stunk! But again I loved the location

The Good & the Bad
The Good: This property has without a doubt a perfect location. The beach out the door is heaven!!! The size of home is good despite It’s funky layout. The Bad: We never would have rented this property if we knew the condition of the furnishings. The bed was not a pillow top as described. It appeared old and was hard which didn’t make for comfortable sleep. The Photos present this as quite a bit nicer looking. The queen room had no window which I didn’t know was legal. No tv in there so especially felt like a cave. The were a few hazards in the house like a hole in the floor / under the carpet at the top of the stairs. The house was in need of overall TLC. We’re in our 40’s & 50’s and it kind of felt more like a flop house from college days. The lighting is awful and the AC wasn’t working the last day. The bbq was set out for garbage, no comfy chairs, the pool is cold & the hammock was broken. - I don’t mean to sound rude it’s just really disappointing to book a house that wasn’t as described. - BUT- the location was amazing so we tried to focus on that. Had I known I gladly would have spent more money on a better place. With about $5k spent right in improvements this would be an excellent property.

It is a great house in an awesome location, just like you said, and it will be getting a bit of a "face lift" for sure so we hope you will return.

Great place on the beach!
The place was as described. The layout is a little awkward, but unique and cool as well. You cannot beat the 40 yards walk to the beach. We caught a lot of fish from the surf and made blackened fish tacos using the BBQ grill provided. I would stay again for sure.

Perfect location!
You will not find a beach house with a better location than this one. Sunset Beach is a beautiful, quiet strip of beach. It is conveniently located just a 5 minute walk down the beach from restaurants and bars. The house itself has a few quirks. The downstairs has a great open flow of kitchen, dining, and living space. The views from inside the house out to the beach are amazing! The non-working stove discussed in other reviews has been replaced. The two upper floors are definitely unique. There is no privacy for two of the three bedrooms. You must walk through them to get to the third floor spaces. The only bedroom that has a door and privacy is the queen bedroom on the second floor. But it has no window and is a dark cave. The house is a townhouse and shares the pool and patio space with the unit next door. We unfortunately had a family that brought 6 college age kids with the next to us during Spring Break week. They trashed the beach and pool area daily. Overall we enjoyed our stay.

There is a way to adjust this and don't hesitate for a second to give us a call if we can help! That being said, the owners are doing updates to the home and in the next phase of updates one of the items will be to add a window in that other room so many of the items you have listed will be updated. Sorry to hear you did not have the best neighbors! This time of the year does prove to be a busy time, however, not being respectful to your neighbors and the beach just is not acceptable! The location made this vacation everything we expected! We had small children and the trek to the beach and back was a delight and able to be done all day, every day! It took most of the work out of traveling to the beach with children, which is exactly what we were looking for. Would highly recommend!

It Doesn't Get Better
I searched long and hard for the right place. Beach steps away and pool access. We got both. We were in the pool and the beach close to a dozen times per day because both so close. Three floors. Living area, second floor with main bedrooms and a quiet couch area. Third floor with twin beds (kids loved it) and an entertainment area. Everything works, beds and pillows are comfy, clean and as represented. Is it the nicest looking home on the block? No, but it is still perfect. Furniture needs a tiny upgrade but it didn't bother us. Wifi access and both owners and management are quick with their replies. We'll definitely be back. Thank you for sharing your home with us!

Not a luxury property
Kitchen is very dated. Appliance very old. Stove does not heat. Took an hour just to boil water. Oven doesn’t heat well. Very old/outdated. Pool should be maintained better. We had to clean ourselves everyday multiple times just to enjoy it. House needs quite a lot of updating. Getting very run down for price to rent. Inside and especially exterior. Upon arrival our first day, property was very dirty and trash cans were completely full and overflowing with trash. Not a very good first impression. Pool completely covered in needles from trees when we arrived. And everyday we were here

We have many guests stay here and we get very good feedback from this location, we are sorry if it did not meet your needs. The pool is serviced every Thursday and there is also a leaf skimmer that is available at the home should anything need to be removed in between servicing since there is rain/trees that will continue. We are so sorry for any inconvenience but please do not hesitate to contact us at our office if we can get someone over there for you to take care of this. In regards to the trash, that should have been removed prior to your arrival and if that was not complete we will be sure to address this. This is a lovely beachfront rental and we are sorry if it was not the right fit for you and we have taken your comments into consideration for this property to be reviewed. Unbelievably perfect location...you can’t get closer to the water!
This home was a really wonderful find and we had an amazing vacation. MUCH needed during pandemic stress! The townhouse was so close to the water that during high tide, I could’ve thrown a rock from the porch and hit the gulf! During the week, the powdery sand in front of our place remained fairly secluded...weekend’s definitely had more people planting umbrellas but still not bad at all. The townhouse had plenty of room inside. Nicely furnished but not to the point you’re worried about messing something up. Pool in front we really didn’t use but nice to have. All you need for the beach (chairs, floats, boogie boards) in the garage! We had lovely neighbors in the other townhouse that shares a wall during our visit, thankfully!! The houses along the area are very close together. The last part of our week the people (owners, I think & a gazillion family members) showed up at the house next door to our right. They were not so great neighbors with loud music, drinking games on the beach, and a couple guys that thought discarding their cigars in the ocean was okay! I say this so you know neighbors on both sides could seriously impact your stay. Back to the townhouse...very cute but choppy upstairs. Two defined bedrooms but other areas required you to walk though someone’s sleeping area to get to another. Teens didn’t care, but good to know. Narrow stairs without wall or a handrail plus spiral staircase upstairs so I would not recommend for those with little kids. Kitchen had plenty of things to make meals at home but the oven needs a serious upgrade. If you like to cook, you’ll be disappointed. I used the toaster oven sometimes in lieu of the oven. Beds were comfortable. Walking distance to Caddy’s (but they had an employee with a COVID diagnosis while we were down there so we stuck with our meals at home plan!) Overall I’d highly recommend! Management company was meh. Contract instructions I signed said to go to their office first. After driving 8 hours we arrived and are told that we should go straight to the property because instructions were emailed at noon...while I was driving down. So that’s dumb. Also garbage overflowing in bins outside when we arrived and stunk so badly that I called. Odd phone call with management telling me when garbage pickup at curb takes place. Umm not my garbage, lady! Someone from mgmt came the next day and took 2 stinky bags but left others. Thx I guess? Summary - townhouse good, management subpar. Overall thumbs up!

Sounds like the loud neighbors you had for a bit were not too considerate, we are sorry if you had any troubles during that time. In regards to the arrival info, yes, this is one property that does not require you to arrive at our office and I do see that those instructions were sent to you but we are sorry for any confusions or inconvenience there. Our office is about a mile away from the property so we are glad it was at least close and not too much back and forth for you but we are sorry for that cross over. The city collects the trash twice a week and we will take care of that. If anything was out of place upon your arrival we are sorry but thank you for calling us so that we could get that corrected. Great location with everything you need
Our family stayed here for a week-long beach holiday, and what really made it special was the direct beach access and the full suite of toys, appliances, and gear. My 2 year old was able to play with beach toys, we had ample beach chairs, and even boogie boards. The beds were comfy and overall we had a great stay. Joanne was easy to communicate with. The room layout was a little challenging for our large group because you had to go through certain rooms to get to others, leaving less privacy. The decor was definitely a bit dated given the price, but it didn't really hinder our enjoyment. Showers and AC all worked great. Would definitely stay again.

Fabulous beach, responsive owner
Beach was wonderful - shallow entry to gulf - you can wade way out in the water. Sunsets were exquisite. Home has an extraordinarily well equipped kitchen and very adequate bedrooms and baths. Overall, home is a bit tired and in need of maintenance, but it did not interfere with our enjoyment of the beach and area. Several maintenance problems arose while we were there (HVAC did not work, oven did not work, pool leaked), however, in each case, the owner responded promptly and repairs were made.

Superb beachfront rental!
We enjoyed every minute of our stay in Treasure Island! The home was just perfect for our family. *4 adults & 3 children (8,5 & 3) It’s not everywhere you can have a pool & beach within a stones throw! Gorgeous sunsets from the comfortable deck, plenty of beach toys to entertain the kids & comfortable chairs for the adults. This home literally has everything you need & more! We cooked our own breakfast/lunch, then had most dinners delivered (there is a notebook with many menus to choose from), & a Publix grocery just down the street. We had a lovey dinner at Middle Grounds Grill, ask for Greg, he was fantastic & the seafood/steaks were top notch! Perfectly clean, comfortable spot with a quiet beach for relaxing. Escape the tourist traps & stay here for a true vacation! We are already looking forward to our next visit! Thank you Joanne for being a lovely host & thank you to the housekeepers (2 sisters that were so wonderful), a “treasure” of a place!

Loved it!
Place was great. We had a really good time. Right on the beach. Even fished a little. Too cold for pool swimming. Overall great place to stay.

Great condo & great beach
The condo was very large and could sleep 8-10 people. It was very comfortable & clean. It had everything we needed including beach chairs & beach toys. The beach is beautiful with large trees. The sunsets were very beautiful. We plan to stay there again.

It is showing wear and tear and for the price I think upkeep is needed.
The location is fabulous and our overall stay was great. The townhouse was clean and they had plenty of towels and beach supplies. I would strongly recommend new outdoor furniture be bought for the lawn. I was pretty shocked at the poor condition of what was there for me to use. I stayed here 3 years ago and there has been an obvious change in the wear and tear. But overall we had a great time and the location is very nice!

Great beach spot
The location is phenomenal! The house is very well equipped & clean. It is not a fancy house, but for a beach place it was perfect. The biggest negative point is all the stairs and lack of adequate hand rails. We had toddlers in our party & it was difficult to carry/help them negotiate the stairs. For older children & teens, it would not be such an issue. It was great having the pool to use after the salt water. We would love to stay there again when ours toddlers are older.

An amazing family vacation!
Our family travels to St. Petersburg 2 times a year and this was by far one of our favorite places to stay! It had everything we needed and more. We loved that we could walk out our back door to the white sand beaches or cool off in the pool. The house had plenty of room and was comfortable and made for a relaxing family vacation. The owners were very nice too! We will be back! Highly recommend this home!

Beautiful beach with amazing sunsets!
This was a great property with room for a lot of people. Suzanne was so easy to contact and work with. We have no qualms with dealing with them at all. The house was stocked well with many of the things you would need for a comfortable stay. The beach is beautiful with so many seashells! We had a blast playing in the water as well. I was constantly wishing my grandkids were with me. The beach was never crowded and was so clean and spectacular! The only downfall the the house was the amount of stairs. We were there with people who were either elderly or had bad knees and that made for some difficulty figuring out who should sleep where. There is no bathroom on the third floor so getting up in the middle of the night was challenging using a spiral stairway to get down. If you have kids, they would love it though!!! We never used the swimming pool because it was too cold. It's in the shade most of the day and being March.... it was cold! During the heat of the summer it might be different. We still had a wonderful week and would recommend this property to a young family. If we go back in March we wouldn't bother looking for a property with an unheated pool. Thank-you Suzanne!

Amazing Beach Home
We just spent a week in this amazing beach home! Everything we needed was supplied for us! Everything in the house worked fantastic! It is a very spacious home with a view to die for! Joanne greeted us upon arrival and was so welcoming. Throughout the whole experience of renting to questions during the week she was very responsive. LOVED this place and would recommend to anyone interested in a fantastic beach home. We will definitely return.

Great get away!
The manager, Joanne, was tremendously responsive. The beach house was very clean, appliances and cookware provided all our needs for a family of five adults. PLENTY of spaces for all of us who worked remotely and a surprisingly fast wifi. Excellent location just footsteps from the beach and a sense of privacy as the beach was never occupied by others. Would recommend this VRBO. Trish
