Escape to our unique cabin on the banks of the Beechfork River in Central Kentucky, right on the Bourbon Trail. Perfect for nature lovers and bourbon enthusiasts alike, this cozy retreat is near Maker's Mark, Jim Beam, Barton, and Bardstown Bourbon distilleries.

Enjoy the best of both worlds with nature at your doorstep and famous distilleries just a short drive away.

The Space:
Our cabin features a minimalist European design, blending modern comfort with natural beauty. It includes a cozy living area, a kitchenette, two bedrooms with a queen-sized beds, and a modern bathroom. Large windows offer stunning river and forest views.

Lovely place! Felt safe and very private. Nicely furnished with comfy beds and a luxurious shower. Nice area by the river to walk. Amazing deck with a beautiful view. Convenient drive to Bardstown or a little further to the caves. Was able to get on 5g internet fine, no need to worry. I will note, it’s at the bottom of a pretty steep hill and I worry my Camry would have struggled in the rain or snow, but we had good weather. Just noting it might be a 4-wheel drive trip.

“Special Weekend Getaway” for Nana & Granddaughter. The “Container Cabin” was an absolute pleasure to enjoy & experience together. Very tastefully done, decorated and special thought was given for items guests may need. Our stay was short but very meaningful for us both. We both love being outdoors and were blessed with gorgeous weather! Hiked at Cecil L. Corley Naturalist Trail, also wonderful. Later fully appreciated the outside deck and mesmerizing firepit. Bonus—we even saw a deer on the property!In addition, host even honored a special request for check-in. Decided we want a repeat visit to this little gem again next year! :-)

Just needs a floor mat and/or broom/mop

We loved staying here; it was gorgeous, the kitchen and bathroom were lovely, the beds were comfy, and the forced disconnect from the grid was very refreshing. Whenever we visit the Bourbon Trail again, I wouldn't hesitate to come back!We have Verizon, and we were unable to access anything inside, and outside you get about 1 bar and very, very slow internet speeds. There is no Wi-Fi in the unit. If you drive 2 mins in either direction on the main road, you can get 5G UltraWide. Note: if you have a car that is very low to the ground or doesn't handle steep inclines on gravel very well, keep in mind that at night, in a thunderstorm, you may have a hard time getting down to the cabin.The only things they need to add are a welcome mat/boot brush and a broom and a mop. We went on a short hike and tracked in dirt and had no way to clean it outside of ruining a towel or two, which we didn't want to do, so we just put up with the dirt.

Easy drive to Lexington, and Bardstown

This is the place for you if you are looking to disconnect. No TV or WiFi so game nights and just talking are were on the agenda. The owner was thoughtful with extra touches like shampoo/conditioner/body wash and a soft throw in the living room. We thoroughly enjoyed the deck!!

The coolest and most fun place to stay

My boyfriend and I, with his son and his fiancé, came to the area for a wedding. We ALL loved the secluded area, the privacy, the layout of the entire place. Even only having 1 bathroom for all of us was managed well. One propane tank lasted about 1 hour the first night and when attempting to use the second it was out. I contacted the property owners and it was filled before we returned from lunch that evening. Lovely exposed windows to the sun and to the darkness of the night. It truly is a place we will definitely come back to in the future. The best part, no TV, which allowed time to disconnect and play games and have a few drinks. What a wonderful place. Definitely a GREAT place. If you are on the fence, don’t be!

Great home base for bourbon trail and riding

This was a really neat place to stay. Clean and quiet with nice amenities. Having a bourbon by the fire pit at the end of the night was extremely relaxing. If you want to live off the grid for a few days (no reception, no WiFi), this is a great spot.

Amazing Views

The views are stunning! Love the idea of a converted container. Great space! It rained for a majority of our trip so the no-wifi was rough. We had a hot spot with us but connection was spotty. The rain generated A LOT of mud which made things a little messy since we had to go out a lot to walk our pup but host was responsive with ways we could try to manage the mess. Would love to visit again in the summer as having the river right there was really cool!

Great Central Location! Cool place!

If you've always wanted to stay in a container condo, this is the one to try. Super clean, very quiet but a nice place to unplug and just hang with friends. Perfect for 4 people or less. Loved the access to the woods for the dog, he had a blast running around. Host was very responsive to our needs and helped with our muddy paws. Thanks again for a great place to stay.

A few night in the Box on the Beech

We enjoyed our stay in this one of a kind vacation space. It met all of our needs. We enjoyed sitting out on the deck and did some awesome star gazing out the big bedroom window. The shower was great, the bed was comfortable. Just right for us!

Awesome Place!

Honestly can’t say enough good things about this place. It is completely unique from anywhere else I have stayed and would absolutely stay here again. The ultimate opportunity to “unplug” and really just relax with friends or family. We had the good fortune of getting to meet the owner and his son and could tell right away that they are great people. We enjoyed walking by the river, and maybe the best part was sitting on the deck with the fire pit and watching all of the wildlife that was around the area. Overall it was a great experience and would highly recommend it to anyone.
