We were in the area to visit several State and National Park Sites and these accommodations fit nicely with our theme. The cottage is unique, comfortable and nicely decorated. I’ve lived in Springfield for 30 years and never realized this property was behind the fence I’ve driven past many times…I don’t think this is an ideal home for a long term stay, since there were no closets… I had to purchase a clothing rack to hang my clothes…but having the washer and dryer was a plus! Wi-Fi was hit and miss, so if you need a place with great internet, you might think about how important it is to you. The bed was very firm, not comfy… The air conditioning was great! Communication with the owner was extraordinary! There was an issue with an unwanted critter, but they were quick to help resolve this issue… this home is very old with a lot of character, so one of the windows and one of the doors leaked during a heavy rain…There are different levels/steps within the home space, so if you need one level, this is not the right place for you. Overall, it was quiet with deer, an owl and lots of green space. The neighbors on the same property were quiet… ##### Nancy M.
