This secluded cabin is nestled amongst the trees on 95 acres located on the upper James River, just 10 short miles from the bustling city of Springfield, Missouri, and less than an hour from the popular tourist destination of Branson, Missouri. On-site activities are numerous and include bicycling, trail hiking, utv trail riding, kayaking, fishing, arrowhead hunting, hot tubbing, and swimming in your own personal paradise. James River Cabin offers a secluded escape from every day stresses while still providing all of the luxuries and comforts of home. This uniquely rustic yet child-friendly cabin provides all of the amenities that you could ask for, including a fully stocked kitchen, sleeping accommodations for 6 adults, two full bathrooms, king bed in master bedroom, queen sleeper sofa in living room, twin bunk beds, washer and dryer, wood burning fire place, outdoor fire pit and dining, three furnished outdoor living areas, HOT TUB, and satellite and roku TV. Additionally, the cabin provides tasteful and comfortable linens and décor that will be sure to please even the most particular of guests. This river front property also provides utv and kayaks/paddleboards. The river access is a short two-minute utv drive from the cabin, and kayaks are ready to launch at the picnic overlook area. The UTV is not included in the price of the rental, and is an additional fee. Please let us know if you would like to purchase use of the UTV for your stay and we will send an additional charge. A map to the river and trails is provided in the cabin for reference. Grubhub and Uber Eats deliver to the cabin if you don’t feel like cooking! The cell service is not great but Fiber internet is installed. The 2nd floor bed room and bath were so comfortable and relaxing, the fireplace was so cozy. The outdoor amenities is another shining point for this listing there is a wonder hottub hammock right off the covered porch and while too cold for us to use eith the canoes or kayaks its amazing that they are there for tou to use. We did make use of the utv to go down to the river and explore the teails on the property it was an absolute blast l. We are all from Springfield, Missouri only 25 minutes away, but felt like we were out in the middle of nowhere. We enjoyed the side-by-side, the hot tub, the fire pit, and all the other amenities . I’m reluctant to leave such a good review as I would like to keep this hidden gem hidden. But also feel like other should be made aware of it. We enjoyed our stay very much. It was quite relaxing. We found the house to be clean and accommodating for our needs. We spent time riding around in the UTV on the property and utilizing the canoe and paddleboards in the river. We spent the evenings by the fire and watching streamed movies. Very nice small cabin on beautiful property. Very wet and rainy weather during our stay made some of the trails impassable and the river flooded over its banks, so we had no luck fishing. The cabin itself was clean, comfortable, and well decorated. Our sons are 3, 6, 8, and 11\. If they were any older there would not be enough room. Kids really enjoyed the hot tub and we made s’mores by the fire pit every night. Very nice place to stay, it’s close to a medium sized city so everything you need is nearby but it feels like you are way out in the country. We used this place as a launching point for trips into Springfield, Branson, and KC. Would recommend for small groups. ##### Wesley J. The perfect blend of cozy and high end! We enjoyed every aspect of this little gem! Our host, Rachel, was so responsive and accommodating and it is evident she has truly put a lot of thought into your stay. Every room is well considered and perfectly appointed. No need to pack a lot of items, as the cabin is fully stocked. Including bath robes! Exploring trails with the UTV, enjoying the river, relaxing in the hot tub, along with the secluded and peaceful surroundings are just what we needed to unwind from everyday life. We arrived at the cabin and it is such a pretty setting. The cabin is just as described and so clean. We took the UTV to the river, too low to easily launch kayak, so instead we took walks through the woods, drove around the countryside, and spent alot of time sitting on the back deck listening to music, the birds and bugs, and watching the leaves fall like snow, so relaxing! Sitting on the front porch in the morning we watched gliders (turkey vultures) gliding on the currents. We live in the country so we are use to the quiet, but it was so nice being at a different setting. Rachel, thank you for all the great communication and sharing your wonderful cabin. ##### cindy C. The home was still well taken care of, even though we hadn’t been since April of 2021\. Everything was still in great condition, well loved home, and now a swing set the kids desperately needed after our 3 hour drive. The home was cleaned as if I had done it myself. The decor, was warm and inviting. We will be back! Loved the nature, wild turkeys, birds, and the river. The kids couldn’t get enough of the UTV.
