The room on the 2nd floor was noisy and you could hear them every time they walked around.
Extremely unhappy when I had to park at the train station and walk to the Inn in the rain.
The place only had a few parking spots, so we had to walk to a whole different parking lot in the freezing cold in the wind and it was very unpleasant. The whole night you could hear people “having a good time” and moving furniture around. In the morning we could hear eveything the walls must be super thin. Kids running around, crying, screaming. People talking way too loud and not acknowledging their kids causing a ruckus. All this was right next to the check in counter and the employees didn’t do anything about it. The interior of the hotel room is very nice and the bed is very comfortable.
This is a hard place to review. It looks impeccable - beautifully furnished, friendly receptionist (who upgraded our room without being asked) but Room 14, lovely and clean as it looked, reeked of mildew. We drew a bath in the Jacuzzi which seemed clean until some black bits came out of the pipes. And the mattress seemed stuffed with straw - very uncomfortable. Maybe that's why it's so affordable ($160)?
I was a little disappointed that there was no option for breakfast, even continental . The sofa bed/pullout was not comfortable at all for sleeping.
However, the room and bathroom were clean, comfortable and well appointed.
hotel is very nice . room very clean, but had to have desk clerk come to room to try to show us how to work tv, smart tvs should not be in these rooms, could only get regular tv channels with very few channels
when you say streaming services, you are wrong
Fantastic property in this boutique like hotel. Hard to believe this is a Jersey Shore property. Quaint, peaceful, super clean and a mile from the ocean. If you’re looking for a beach getaway which is not easy to find at the Jersey Shore, this is it!

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service
Nice overall property but rooms are very tight (we had 2) with no desk or any flat surface for using a computer or anything else. Not much in the way of other facilities and downtown area around it has little services (deli, liquor store, train station) and is just like any other rural NJ town.
I really liked how quaint and pretty it was- the lounge was lovely, especially during Christmastime!! I also liked how it still had its older charm to it, with modern elements so it was not very outdated. The only thing is that it was veryyy warm in the lobby and in the rooms, we put on the AC almost immediately because it was overwhelming. Overall great stay and kind front desk clerks!
This is such an adorable Inn! It is in a beautiful area and is super clean. The bed was very comfortable. The reception area was so cozy and the employees were helpful and friendly. It was like stepping into a Hallmark movie! I look forward to staying here again!
We love this hotel! We come a couple times per year and feels almost like a second home. Love, love, love the complimentary iced tea, lemon and cuke water in the elegant dispensers. Bed is super comfy and sitting in the second floor gazebo is so relaxing. Looking forward to our next stay!
Some staffs were excellent some not, hotel itself in/out is elegantly beautifully decorated and designed, closed to the beach 🏖, bikes 🚲 available for riding around, a wonderful place to stay&relax, except the a/c was too loud... hopefully, when we come back next time, it’s not so noisy ... ;D
Very friendly staff. Bikes, and beach chairs available for guests. A great shower (these little things can add a lot to a stay).
Great location, just a three minute walk to the shops and restaurants in third acenue
