If you want to impress your lady don't bring her here. One thing is they have a portable heater that kept dripping out. Second there is a coffee maker but no coffee or creamer or cups or cabinet to put these things in, these things are standard in the industry. Icing on the cake happened in the morning the power was out so no water to flush the toilet and no shower for the wife. I think there was a scheduled power outage since I saw Hydro One working on the lines down the street in any case no discount was offered.

The motel is clean and close to where we were wanted to visit. Quite and nice. No shampoo.

Staff were very friendly and quick to react when we had a minor heating issue. We thought it strange that there was a coffee maker in the room but no coffee or cups. Overall the room was perfect and at a great price point for our use.

Easy place to stay before paddling into algonquin park tmrw...drive up from Toronto takes 3hrs... Nice diner in the area for breakfast in the morning and then its park time...well priced

We booked a hotel last minute to see our son' hockey game at the South River arena. The hotel is a bit run down and even though there are No Smoking signs on all unit doors, there is the stale smell of smoke. Our one interaction with staff was fine. The town itself doesn't have much in the way of dining.

The motel is a little old but the online photos are accurate so, I knew exactly what to expect. Staff are friendly and helpful. A decent place for a stopover stay.

Room 12 rekes badly of old cigarette smoke. Not all units are like this, however. On the plus side, the beds were comfortable and the bed sheets did smell freshly cleaned.

It was quite pricey for a off highway motel room, i would have expected it to be half of what we actually paid. Aside from that, the owner was very nice and pleasant, the room was clean and tidy but a bit run down, but again, its an off highway motel, not the Ritz-Carlton.

We couldn’t bring ourselves to spend the night. The smell in the room was disgusting. It said it was a non smoking room but the cigarette smell was unbearable. The window was cracked, the deadbolt did not work, the beds were awful and the cleanliness was questionable. I would have spent the night in my car if I had to over spending the night there. Never again

Pretty worn down property. Minimum maintenance done. The guy who checked in was very nice. He was told by property owner to look after when they were gone and he seemed to be confused with our reservation.

The room was clean and as expected. Comfortable bed and pillows. Hot water would go from hot to hotter to scolding within minutes ; could not get it “stable”. Air conditioning did not work and spent a very hot night uncomfortable. Lastly, advertising said hot breakfast included to find out it was discontinued.

We like the front desk attendant but had a lot of issues with the room. The AC unit was very old my wife guessed maybe from the 70s or 80s. It does not classify as Air conditioning. Very uncomfortable temperature in room. The shower had great pressure but it could not stay one temperature for long. Always switching to a burst of very hot or very cold water. The door wouldn't lock from outside without almost breaking the key. The room was very dirty and needs an update. Walls gross. Towels disgusting.

Used to be a quaint stop over before entering Algonquin park. Now it’s just a broken down tired and sad motel that over charges for a room that’s not suitable for sleeping in. Next time we will sleep in the car.

The place in very ran down. The room was dirty and stunk of cigarettes and wet dog. The toilet bubbled and stunk like sewage. They did have an extra blanket (stunk like the entire room stunk) and tea kettle. The owner did call back after he did not pick up the phone when I called. Dirty windows. Dirty upholstery. Dirty carpet. Ewww

Small, very clean motel. Nothing fancy but nice size room with fridge and coffee maker and microwave. Town just down the street with places to eat, gas, grocery store, etc. We would stay here again. I would recommend to friends who don’t expect luxery accomodations.

We made a reservation for non-smoking room. we were stuck in a damp, musty, smelly, smoking room. Not sure if they actually have non-smoking rooms here. Room was damp, wet, and when we tried to use the fan it was noisy and didn't work either. Beware, place is not what it seems to be.
