Nearly every room offers sweeping views of the beach and surf, immersing you in the sights and sounds of the ocean from sunrise to sunset. Thoughtfully expanded and beautifully updated, this classic beachfront cottage blends modern comfort with the timeless charm that brings guests back year after year. The home features two bedrooms, one bathroom, and a loft. Bamboo flooring flows throughout the living spaces, complemented by travertine tile in the bathroom, and clean, modern furnishings throughout that keep the focus on the stunning coastal surroundings. Both bedrooms are appointed with queen beds and include built-in storage drawers and wardrobes, making the cottage especially comfortable for extended visits. Rental is right off Hwy 101 and lots of traffic on the road. Not great for cell reception and there were directions to use WIFI calling when at the rental. That worked ok for us. We have rented dozens of places at the coast and there is NONE that even comes close. The location, the property, Josh our host, layout, amenities all combine for the BEST place we have ever stayed. We are to the point where if the Sea G m is not available we postpone our trip to the coast until a date when the Sea Gem is available. The VERY BEST - AGAIN and EVERY TIME. I was nervous, given all of the 5\* reviews, that we would be disappointed, but sea gem really does live up to its incredible reputation! Fab location, between lots of amazing places to visit and eat. The cottage itself is modern, clean and spacious, with plenty of space for all 5 of us. The beach was so quiet and we rarely saw anyone else on it. Beautiful sunsets to see from the porch. Absolutely perfect! ##### Jennifer T. Amazing location. We loved the patios and the beach being feet away from the house. The views were incredible. We even saw a bald eagle and a whale in the distance. Clean, comfortable, quiet, private and close to nearby towns with great restaurants. Many adventures in the area. Perfect litte getaway for our anniversary. ##### Emily O. The views were spectacular and I just loved listening to the waves as I fell asleep each night. It was my first time to the Oregon Coast and the Sea Gem Cottage was the perfect place to stay. Attractions were also close by, like the Aquarium, Depoe Bay, and we saw the sea lions basking in the sun in Newport Bay. Even saw some seals swimming by the lighthouse. ##### Joan S. This particular location, on the beach, was perfect. And the Ocean put on a show. Waves breaking right in front of us. Watching the changing tides for hours was so peaceful and good for the soul. Unfortunately during our stay it rained most of the time. So didn't get to spend time on the beach but that was okay. Beautiful furnishings and lacked nothing. ##### Chris L.
