Nearly every room offers sweeping views of the beach and surf, immersing you in the sights and sounds of the ocean from sunrise to sunset. Thoughtfully expanded and beautifully updated, this classic beachfront cottage blends modern comfort with the timeless charm that brings guests back year after year. The home features two bedrooms, one bathroom, and a loft. Bamboo flooring flows throughout the living spaces, complemented by travertine tile in the bathroom, and clean, modern furnishings throughout that keep the focus on the stunning coastal surroundings. Both bedrooms are appointed with queen beds and include built-in storage drawers and wardrobes, making the cottage especially comfortable for extended visits. The main-level great room offers seating for six at the dining table and a wall-mounted Smart TV with basic cable, all framed by ever-changing ocean views just beyond the windows. Stairs from the great room lead to the loft, where two twin beds are tucked on the garden side. A cozy lounge area overlooks the ocean, providing an ideal spot to relax, read, or watch passing storms—and, if you’re lucky, spot whales offshore. The cottage sits on a 40-foot bluff with a private path leading directly to the beach. Miles of shoreline stretch in both directions, perfect for long, unhurried walks where you’ll often encounter more seabirds than people. To reach 10 it has to be absolutely perfect, and it is not, but it is really lovely in a lot of ways.The house was clean. It has this amazing feeling of privacy, which isn't as easy to see in the photos. There is great use of fences and shrubbery to make it hard to see neighbors, so you get a real sense of privacy. The beds were extremely comfy, which is a huge plus. The one bedroom has a sliding glass door that opens to the back deck and the beach. This deck also had very nice chairs for sitting and enjoying the amazing view.The path down to the beach might be tricky for some because it utilizes large rocks as a makeshift staircase, but it was fine for us.This would be a great little house for a small family with kiddos. The upstairs loft area is perfect for little kids.I did have to message our host a couple of times and he was very quick to respond and also very helpful.The one drawback for me is that I drive a medium sized car and there is no way to turn around in the driveway, so you have to either back out onto the highway or pull onto the shoulder and back into the driveway, both of which felt quite sketchy. If you drive a small car, you might be able to turn in the tiny nook where the shed and garbage cans sit.All in all, this is a lovely little place with easy access to a clean beach and a helpful and responsive host. The place is small but well thought out and very cozy. The location is quiet, and the ocean right out the back window is beautiful. Our kids wanted to move in! We have stayed multiple times and every time it is bliss. The house is perfectly equipped with everything you could need for a comfy stay. It is so clean and fresh when you walk in and super easy to keep that way during your stay. The owners are super responsive and very kind. It had everything we needed and you cannot beat the location. I just wish we could have stayed longer. The property owner was great when we had a small problem with the septic system. We have rented dozens of places at the coast and there is NONE that even comes close. The location, the property, Josh our host, layout, amenities all combine for the BEST place we have ever stayed. We are to the point where if the Sea G m is not available we postpone our trip to the coast until a date when the Sea Gem is available. The VERY BEST - AGAIN and EVERY TIME. I booked this stay just to have a few days to myself to destress a bit. The house was great — clean, had everything I needed and was comfortable— and the view was spectacular! I did discover that I didn’t have cell service there, but perhaps that’s not such a bad thing when you’re trying to escape for a few days! (WiFi was fine.)
