Find hotels in Souňov from CA $81

The best area to stay in Souňov is within the village itself, particularly around the historic centre.

Souňov is a small, quiet village, so the "centre" is quite compact. It's characterised by traditional Czech architecture, with a few local guesthouses and a pub or two. The main landmarks are the Church of St. James the Greater and the village square. This area provides a genuine experience of rural Central Bohemia.

Couples looking for a peaceful getaway will find Souňov ideal. It's a place to relax, enjoy walks in the surrounding countryside, and experience local life away from the hustle and bustle. You can easily spend time exploring the village and nearby nature trails.

For those interested in exploring the wider Central Bohemia region by car, staying within Souňov offers a convenient and pleasant base.

The best time to visit Souňov is during the late spring (May-June) or early autumn (September-October) when the weather is pleasant and the natural beauty of the Central Bohemia Region is at its peak.

During late spring, the countryside around Souňov is lush and green, with wildflowers in bloom. The temperatures are comfortably mild, making it ideal for outdoor activities like hiking or cycling through the scenic trails of the nearby Posázaví region. This period is particularly good for those who enjoy exploring nature without the intense heat of summer.

Early autumn brings cooler, crisp air and the stunning colours of the changing leaves across the landscape. It's a wonderful time for leisurely walks, enjoying the peaceful surroundings, and perhaps visiting local vineyards if you're interested in regional produce. The harvest season can also bring local markets and events, offering a taste of local life.

While summer (July-August) can be warm and sunny, it's also the busiest tourist season, and some may find it a bit too hot for extensive outdoor exploration. Winter (November-April) is generally cold and can be snowy, which can be picturesque but limits outdoor activities.
