Plus, with a brand-new central AC system installed last year, you'll stay comfortable no matter the season. And we’re pet-friendly, so your four-legged companions are welcome to join the fun!  
  
On the entry level, you'll find a spacious kitchen equipped with modern appliances and rich wooden cabinetry, making meal preparation a delight. Adjacent to the kitchen is a welcoming dining area perfect for family meals or cozy dinners. The great room is the heart of the cabin, featuring plush seating, a large flat-screen TV, and a charming wood-burning stove set against a beautiful stone backdrop. The primary suite on this level offers a serene retreat with comfortable bedding and ample storage. Downstairs, you'll find two additional bedrooms and a second bath, providing plenty of space for everyone to relax and unwind.

At home, you won't run out of things to do with our Infinity Game Table, retro Atari console, and a versatile foosball, air hockey, and ping pong table. Enjoy a scenic walk around Twain Harte Lake via the service road just behind the house. While the lake is private, you can still hike around its perimeter. For lake activities, we recommend visiting Pinecrest Lake. If you're interested in accessing Twain Harte Lake, we have a partner cabin with lake membership—just send us a message for more details.  
  
Within a mile of the cabin, you'll find the Twain Harte Community Pool, tennis courts, mini golf, and golf course. The community pool's availability is posted on their website and will be closing for the season on Sept 26th. Pool fees are as follows:  
  
Ages 3-17: $2.00  
Ages 18-61: $3.00  
Ages 62+: $2.00  
Family Fee: $8 per family (up to 2 adults and 5 children)  
Non-Swimming Parent Free with paid child. Children under 3 are free.  
  
  
\*\*\* Wildlife and Nature Considerations \*\*\*  
  
You're in nature! This is bear country, so please dispose of trash in bins and avoid leaving food outside. While bear sightings are rare, they do occasionally come into town. You may also encounter various insects and wildlife around the property. Sometimes, nature can even find its way inside.  
  
  
\*\*\* Property Rules and Safety \*\*\*  
  
No smoking, vaping, or candles are allowed on the property, both inside and outside. Due to the high fire hazard in our area, this includes the decks and driveway. Any sign of smoking anywhere on the property will result in a $500 charge.  
  
If you plan to charge your electric vehicle, please notify us, as it incurs an additional $50 per charge due to the high cost of electricity.  
  
  
\*\*\* Winter Weather and Trip Insurance \*\*\*  
  
At high altitude, we may get snow in the winter. While the road to the home is plowed, we recommend all guests carry chains. Snow removal from the property is not provided by the hosts, but shovels and salt are available for guests.  
  
Due to the remote location and variable weather, we recommend trip insurance. Weather conditions can lead to being snowed in/out, loss of power, or road closures. We do not accept liability for these situations or any other issues beyond our control and are unable to provide refunds.

Good location, nice house, but not as advertised. The kitchen does not have modern appliances. The game room is dimly lit and the table games are all "mini" sizes. The big let down was that there was no lake. The homeowner has no control over the fact the it had been drained; however, when I sent a picture, her response was defensive rather than sympathetic.

We had a lovely couple of days at Twain Harte Cabin. We had everything we needed and were quite comfortable. We especially enjoyed the back deck. We also appreciated the air conditioning.

#### Resort feel in the pines

Inwas so pleased to see the renatl was exactly as the on line listing represented. There was so much thought put in to the style and comfort by the hosts to make that "five star" feel felt unfortunately my party of 6 changed unexpectedly at last minute to just my husband and i and our two dogs, so it was a much bigger place for just us two but we loved it! Well done Bean Family..we will definitely be back! Thabk you so much .

#### Great Getaway!

Our family had an amazing time here! The kitchen was spacious and had everything we needed, and they even had a smores kit on the counter which was such a thoughtful touch. Overall the house was clean, and cozy which was perfect because we stayed during winter. We had a lot of fun with the digital game board and ping pong table in the garage, and lounging outside in the fire. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

The hosts are very responsive and welcoming. Place is well equipped and good for a family with master bedroom upstairs and 2 bedrooms downstairs that share a bath Only drawback is it is on a very busy road.

#### Lovely Getaway Cabin with Lake View

My brother and I, along with two of our friends, had a wonderful stay at Serenity. Our hosts, Katie and Sean, take extra care to ensure you feel welcome, like a few snacks, a couple bottles of water, and coffee. It was a nice touch. Katie was extremely responsive to my questions, which was wonderful, and you can tell they take pride in their property. We were delightfully surprised by the lake view, and we loved the lights around the deck railing at night. We all hope to return soon.

#### Beautiful, peaceful cabin. Could not ask for anything more.

Our stay was a pleasant, memorable one. The cabin is fully stocked and very cozy. The windows look out into the woods and when it snowed we had beautiful views of the frozen pond below. The owners made sure our needs were met and when we had a couple of questions or couldn't find something they were available with a quick text to help us out or phone if needed. Very beautiful property and a great environment for anybody, especially families with kids and pets.

#### Clean and cozy cabin

Property was well taken care of and it had all the essential needs for a comfortable stay. The hosts (Kate and John) were amazing when it came to answering all questions we had. The location was perfect, you are up in the mountains about 25 minutes away from Pinecrest, but also a short drive to Sonora and other stores for those emergency needs. The check in instructions and house rules were clear and easy to follow. We will defiantly be coming back, and we will be bringing our Dog "rocky". Thank you so much again for your hospitality and God bless.
