AND 100% polyester sheets are humid, clammy, and stick to my skin even in autumn humidity conditions. In summer those sheets, even with air conditioning will be unbearable. The sheets and mattress cover are so cheap and uncomfortable that we could not sleep well. The floor, happily now no longer carpeted, was so unclean it was literally slippery. Those floors need to be washed, not just vaccumed. Bathroom needed more cleaning and I had to go searching for toilet paper. Get a shower curtain rod that bows out; I was fighting the shower curtain in your very narrow bathtub. Stale packaged pastries, stale cheap cereals and a few pieces of bread were not worth eating. In three days we had 4 containers of yogurt and two cups of coffee. Hardly worth it. Although we have a friend nearby and have stayed several times we will not come back until you have cotton sheets and remove the plastic mattress cover. Hotel is in definite need of improvements. We finally contacted the front desk staff who resolved the issue. Staff very friendly and made sure all our needs were satisfied. Room was spacious and clean. Comfortable bed, but had paper matress pad and ill-fitting sheets. The hotel really needs to invest in quality bedding. Bathroom could stand an update. This property was a bit old and was in need of some maintenance, such as paint. Although not necessarily unclean, there was a mildewy smell in the lobby when I first walked in. Overall, the quality was very poor. The platform beds had metal sticking out that my son bumped his knee on pretty badly, the pillows were small and so old they were lumpy like they were falling apart, so needless to say my back was killing me when I woke up. The disappointment did not stop there. When we went to breakfast, the hot water for tea was lukewarm, and the batter for the waffle iron came out with a bunch of gray watery liquid that looked absolutely horrible. I tried to siphon it out of the cup as my son really wanted waffles, but it made the batter so thin it dribbled almost completely out of the iron altogether. The property was in a very quiet section of town. Anglers restaurant was just out back of the hotel. We did not eat there as we were there for a wedding but to have a restaurant in walking distance is nice. The property was clean and well maintained. We were in room 215\. The door to our room was stuck and had to use such force to open it. Like it was painted shut. So every time we entered or left our room it would echo in the hallway from our door opening and trying to shut it quietly. The refrigerator had a pan under it, which we later found out the refrigerator would leak, hence the pan under it. You couldn't open the door to the fridge with out having to lift it above the pan. When we went to shower in the room we found there was no shower curtain which we had to go to the front desk and ask for one. There was tape covering the carpet that met the tile in our bathroom so we had to make sure not to trip on that. The ice machine did not work on the second floor, so we had to make trips to the first floor for ice.
