Basic rooms above a pub
Check in wasn't great. No clear indication of where to check in. Had to give details over a busy bar. The room was ok but with a funny smell. The previous guests bellongings in the wardrobe was a bit off putting.

Room was pleasant, amenities very good, breakfast very nice. However room wasn’t very warm both thermostats on radiators on highest setting yet not very warm. Couldn’t get any hot water on sink but shower was lovely and hot.

Excellent stay and superb food
Excellent food and lovely room wuth walk in shower. Stayed 2 nights and could not fault it. Breakfast was superb and didn't need anthing till evening. Evening meal was good, had chicken in white tarragon sauce with vegetables and chips. Other people on other tables also said how good their food was. Loved the old photographs of the area in the bar Would stay here again and recommend.

Delightful, friendly hotel, very comfortable stay
Really lovely hotel, beautifully furnished and equipped and spotlessly clean. Very comfortable bed. Unfortunately for me it was quiz night on the night I stayed which was loud and distracting as I was trying to work also breakfast was only served from 8.30am which was when I had to leave although Gill was very accommodating and provided me with cereal, orange juice and coffee. Bar staff are fabulous and the food really delicious, I just wish that I had been given a quieter room.

Great stop off, on route to funeral. Great parking. Friendly staff. Nice room, large bathroom. Lovely food. Very dog friendly.

Maypole Inn sits on the village green. Room was large, clean and good facilities. Plenty of lamps but were all unplugged. If wanted to use had to unplug something else. Beer ok good selection. Large car park to rear. Check in could have gone better very slow. Booked for one night but they said two after long discussion and being kept waiting agreed it was one night. The food at night could be better. If you order steak you expect a griddled tomato not one that is placed on plate all mush. Secondly the mushrooms served were tinned and not fresh field mushrooms. Breakfast was ok.In summary ok for overnight stay.

Really friendly
Everyone there was really friendly and helpful. We arrived late after our Yorkshire 3 Peaks Challenge and the kitchen was closed. They still helped us with preparing a lovely pie! Bedroom was really nice. Bed very comfy. I really recommend!

Lovely village pub, well used by locals. Great beer, good menu and special board. Room nicely modernised in an old property.

Glad I found this treasure
From the friendly warm welcome to the comfortable bed and beautiful room the Maypole Inn was a treasure I'm glad I booked. The room was clean and quiet with so many thoughtful little extras not to mention the fabulous breakfast. I'd definitely stay again

Weekend away
We had a very pleasant stay in large comfortable room which was spotlessly clean. We had our evening meal in the dining room and both the service and food were excellent.

Great local with lovely rooms :-)
Great stay at the Maypole Inn - me and my husband were only there for 1 night but the staff were all great. We were allowed to check-in as soon as the room was ready (ideal as we had a wedding to go to in Settle), the room was clean and spacious with all the amenities we needed (hair dryer, iron, tea, coffee etc.). The food was delicious and reasonably priced, as were the drinks. Breakfast was included and was also lovely. Everything we needed. Thank you :-)

5 star plus in Long Preston
Beautifully decorated accommodation and bar/restaurant. We had large room with window seat, table and chairs and lounge all with matching fabric. Very quiet. 5 star plus. Very friendly owners and excellent bar staff.

The room was excellent with all that you needed and we noticeds that it was spotless. We have stayed here before and it is always the same - well worth a visit by anyone.

We had a lovely stay at The Maypole- the staff were helpful and flexible around our early start for waling the 3 peaks- packed lunches were provided. Our evening meals on both Friday and Saturday were delicious and our rooms were newly decorated. We has a great weekend.

A hidden gem
I did worry a little bit as I check in at the bar in a pub, but it turned out to be for no good reason. The staff was very friendly, and the room is one of the nicest ones I have ever stayed at. The breakfast was excellent, and dinner too. The lamb shank in particular was delicious! I really enjoyed my stay here!
